Two time state champion at Putnam HS, Keene State's all-time leading scorer, and current overseas star, Ty Nichols joins this week's episode of "Not Even D2". Ty played four years at Keene State (2015-2019) where he finished with 2,316 points, and in his final year he was a 1st Team All-American. Post-college Ty has played for various leagues- including this past year where he was the MVP of the basic division in the Czech Republic League. Now, Ty is moving on to play in Slovakia where he will be competing in the Nike Slovak League in the Champions League. The first coach from Division 3 to ever be inducted to the Hall of Fame talks on this week's episode of "Not Even D2". Legendary coach, David Hixon spent 42 seasons coaching at Amherst College- his alma matter. During his 42 seasons, Hixon won over 800 games which currently has him ranked 15th in most wins in men's college basketball. Throughout his career Hixon won 2 National Championships, 20 NCAA tournament appearances, and 8 NESCAC championships. In 2023, coach Hixon was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame where he would be inducted with one of the most memorable classes in Hall of Fame history. Current Director of Middlesex Magic, Michael Crotty Jr., joins this week's episode of, "Not Even D2". Before taking over the Magic program, Crotty was a star Division 3 player. In his final two years of college basketball, Crotty Jr. appeared in 2 National Championship games and was an All-American PG for Williams College. After much success during his playing career at Williams and professionally overseas, Crotty Jr. worked for the Boston Celtics from 2005-08. He was the Director of Player Development for the Celtics during the franchise's 17th championship. Crotty Jr. is now the director of one of the most successful basketball programs in the country. The Middlesex Magic was created by his father Michael Crotty Sr.- whose impact has an effect on the program today. 2023-24 2nd Team All-Summit League and 2022-23 D3hoops.com Most Outstanding Player, Raheem Anthony joins this weeks episode of "Not Even D2". The Chicago native started his college career at the University of St. Mary's (Minnesota). Raheem was a top player in the MIAC early on in his career. He finished his final year at St Mary's averaging 24.6 points per game- winning the MIAC offensive player of the year. During his college career, a MIAC team, St. Thomas was voted out of the conference for "competitive parity". As St. Thomas moved up to Division 1, Raheem soon joined the former competitors and spent his final year playing for the Tommies. Raheem spent no time leaving an impact on St. Thomas as he currently holds the programs Division 1 single season record in rebounds and single game record in points. Anthony finished his season being voted an All-Summit league player.
