Christmas Day is over. So, we need to ask ourselves: “Now what?” Christmas is not merely a day—it is a season that concludes on January 8 with the Baptism of Our Lord. Do not allow Christmas to fade from our minds, put in storage with the garland, the lights and the ornaments. Instead, take the light of Christ and carry it with you. Jesus’ birth was not a one-day wonder, but the wonder for the world. He was born to journey with us always. As we approach the new year, may the spirit of Christmas continue to fill our hearts and homes and influence all that we say and do as we celebrate the peace and the joy that only Christ can give.
