Off The Script w/JDfromNY

On this week’s episode of The Two Count, we break down a massive week in WWE and AEW, including AEW’s ongoing ratings struggles, major championship developments, King and Queen of the Ring fallout, and the future of some of wrestling’s biggest stars.

We start with AEW Dynamite’s disappointing ratings performance, and whether AEW is once again failing to capitalize on momentum coming out of a major pay-per-view. We also discuss why many fans believe Forbidden Door season has become one of the weakest stretches on AEW’s annual calendar.

Tony Khan continues teasing the dream match of Will Ospreay vs Kenny Omega at Wembley Stadium, and we debate whether AEW is building toward its biggest main event in company history.

On the WWE side, Sami Zayn is named the special guest referee for the WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Gunther, leading to a tremendous face-to-face confrontation between Cody and Sami. Is WWE quietly setting up Sami Zayn as Cody’s eventual challenger?

We also discuss the growing speculation surrounding Vince McMahon, as reports suggest he is moving closer to settling both the shareholder lawsuit and the Janel Grant lawsuit. Could a future return to the wrestling business actually be possible, and why are some fans openly rooting for it?

Plus, we examine the latest CM Punk rumors, including questions surrounding his WWE status, reported tensions with creative, and the never-ending speculation about a potential AEW return.

We also break down Oba Femi and IYO SKY advancing to the King and Queen of the Ring Finals, why WWE continues teasing Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar for a third time, and what it means for the future of WWE’s main event scene.

In addition, we discuss Roman Reigns awarding Jacob Fatu the Ula Fala before attacking Eric Andre, and what may be next for the Bloodline heading into the summer.

Finally, we look at LA Knight once again being taken out by the Bloodline, and ask the question many fans are wondering: where exactly is this story going, and how does any of this benefit LA Knight?

Oba Femi advances to the Finals, and the worry of Jey Uso winning the entire King of the Ring tournament is getting worse, and worse as we head into Night of Champions.

Oba Femi took care of Dominik Mysterio tonight to advance to the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament but who will he meet? Jey Uso, or Je'Von Evans? Where does Brock Lesnar fit in after Oba Femi called him out now three weeks in a row?

The Bloodline take out Comedian Eric Andre in a VERY weird open to WWE Raw that made absolutely no sense to anything moving forward.

Also, IYO SKY advances to the finals of the Queen of the Ring to meet either Charlotte or Liv Morgan. Seth Rollins challenged Bron Breakker to a Steel Cage match at Night of Champions, and LA Knight gets taken out by Jacob Fatu after more tension between him, and the Bloodline.

It's all about LA Knight, and Jey Uso. Or will it be Finn Balor? Who advances to the King of the Ring Sem-Final, and how does the rest of the tournament shake out going into next week?

Also, The Women's Queen of the Ring can become very interesting with both Charlotte Flair, and Jade Cargill favorites to advance. Or does the Darkhorse Lyra Valkyria pull off the upset?

And, Guinther made Cody Rhodes wait one week. Tonight, Gunther lets Cody know what the stipulation for their WWE Championship match next week will be.

When you think Summer Blockbuster, you think Jurassic Park. When you think Summer Blockbuster FLOP, you think AEW Dynamite. This was one of the worst wrestling shows in 2026.

Swerve Strickland advances past Brody King in the Men's Owen Hart Cup, and will now meet Will Ospreay in the Finals at Forbidden Door. On the Women's side, it's been so ravaged by injury, that Maya World has advanced to the Semi-Finals, and will now meet Athena.

Jon Moxley is wrestling Ring of Honor castoffs, while training Will Ospreay for All In, and MJF gets his Forbidden Door Main Event, and it's not what you think.

The King, and Queen of the ring are a hot topic right now, with some big names already eliminated but does it all make sense heading into SummerSlam?

Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker were both odds on favorites to meet in the finals, and have both been eliminated this past week. With Jey Uso, Oba Femi, and LA Knight still remaining, who walks away with the crown, and will Brock Lesnar have anything to say about Oba Femi's chances at being King of the Ring?

On the Women's side, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez find themselves in the semi-finals on opposite ends of the Queen of the Ring bit is there too much Judgement Day in a Tournament that should be reserved for "the future" of WWE?

Also, Mercedes Mone returned on AEW Dynamite this past week with less than receptive fanfare. Was it the right move to bring her back one week following a HOT AEW Double or Nothing? Mick Foley rumors are heating up about him wrestling one more match. Mike Santana might finally be headed to WWE. Nick Khan is one of the biggest liars in all of sports, and Vince McMahon gets away with yet another major lawsuit because he makes it disappear with all of his money. After SmackDown's reckless King & Queen of the Ring booking, does Triple H bounce back, and make sense of these tournaments?

Seth Rollins tries to advance in the King of the Ring against Je'Von Evans, Talla Tonga and Ricky Saints. While, on the Women's side, Liv Morgan tries to own the Queen of the Ring Quarterfinal against Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, and Chelsea Green.

Also, Penta defends the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rey Mysterio. Will Ethan Page have anything to do with Rey Mysterio being given a shot over him? And, Sol Ruca defends her Women's Intercontinental Championship against Lyra Valkryia.

WWE had one easy job to do. Make the King & Queen of the Ring Tournament GREAT, with the best matches, and the best talent. They clearly missed their assignment.

Dominik Mysterio, and Raquel Rodriguez advance in their respect tournaments, making both Semi-Finals for the King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments less than desirable. What happens next?

Also, Gunther is MAD over the outcome of losing to Cody Rhodes at Clash In Italy. How does Gunther handle the fallout, and what's next for him and Cody Rhodes? Carmelo Hayes once AGAIN battles Ricky Saints as both of their eyes are set on the United States Championship, and how is Solo Sikoa going to handle Jacob Fatu acknowledging Roman Reigns?

The Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament has been hit with injuries, and has left one spot to a "mystery opponent"...and we have finally gotten the return of Mercedes Mone.

Also, MJf just won the AEW World Championship, and is already putting his title on the line against RUSH before we figure out who his challenger will be at Forbidden Door. Kevin Knight defends the AEW TNT Championship against "Speedball" Mike Bailey, and Will Ospreay has a tough task tonight if he wants to advance to the finals of the Men's Owen Hart Cup as he takes on AEW National Champion Mark Davis.

Triple H might find himself competing with more than AEW, and Tony Khan. He might find himself competing with The Undertaker leading AAA after a tremendous show stealing weekend for the Mexican promotion.

This past weekend saw, arguably the best feud, and best match come to it's conclusion as El Grande Americano battled OG El Grande Americano at AAA Noches De Los Grandes on Saturday night, and it's got everyone including all of WWE talking. The very next night, Triple H presented Clash In Italy, and discussion has started over who stole the wrestling weekend.

Is Triple H looking into a mirror at The Undertaker, who is doing the same exact thing Triple did running classic NXT Black & Gold? Is he competing now with more than just Tony Khan, and AEW, or is this all just internet nonsense? What happens to both Chad Gable, and Ludwig Kaiser after two huge career performances?

In addition, we take look back at WWE Clash In Italy, and the Fallout on WWE Raw, including the start of both the King, and Queen of The Ring Tournaments. Also, the reported plan for next year's WrestleMania 43 Main Event for Roman Reigns, and how WWE is playing re-runs with the current Bloodline story with Jacob Fatu. Finn Balor traded to SmackDown, and the exact date when SmackDown will finally go back to 2 hours. All this, and more pro wrestling news with @JDfromNY and @TheSolomonster on Tuesday Night Titans.
