The Florida State Seminoles were double digit favorites against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets but got out-muscled in the season opener in Dublin, Ireland. The Rambling Wreck pulled off the 24-21 upset. They held the Seminoles to just 98 rushing yards and did not allow a single sack against a defensive line that was heralded to be the best in the country. DJ Uiagalelei had a tepid debut as FSU’s starting quarterback. Head coach Mike Norvell did not appear to trust DJ to throw down the field. He averaged just 7.1 yards per pass. The Yellow Jackets showed massive improvement in the trenches compared to last season.
