When we describe artists we typically describe them in terms of their medium: a musician, a scuplter, a painter, a poet, etc. But what does it really mean to be an artist or, for that matter, to be creative? Can you be an artist without a medium? How do we think about or describe the creative act? What might life look like if we were to view it as a work of art?
In today’s episode of the Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers podcast, we discuss these questions and more with special guest, Haymitch St. Stephen. Haymitch is an artist and contemplative who is dedicated to helping others cultivate creativity as a spiritual practice. One of his recent creative projects that we discuss in this episode is his book, Friend of the Devil: A story of Mental Health, Mistakes, and Self-Forgiveness.
