Marketers DON'T have all the answers.
π±
Some of the best marketing insights come from OUTSIDE marketing.
They see differently than us (marketers).
Parthi Loganathan is a prime example of this.
With a background in software engineering, he's now forced to understand marketing as a founder.
Which makes his insights pragmatic and actionable.
Why should you listen?

It's 2008.
You're the social media manager for a medium-sized business (if that was even a thing).Β
The top three platforms were:
1) Blogger
2) MySpace
3) Facebook
These platforms (maybe excluding MySpace) required a similar skillset: Writing. Most content was written form or photos. Video came later.
I don't need to convince you; today is different. Waaaay different.
Now, one skill set doesn't do it.
You need to be good at:
β Video
β Audio
β Photo(graphy)
β Digital writing
This makes my advice applicable to 80% of marketing teams that don't have all those skill sets:Β
Focus on ONE channel.
In episode 3 of season 3, I share:
β The evolution of social media
β A simple strategy to focus on one channel
β Ways to dominate one channel
β Three signals it's time to branch out (switch) platforms
β (Bonus) NEW idea on defining who you want to be known by
β And answer the questions you asked on my LinkedIn post (TY!)

What do ALL marketers have in common?
We are fighting for attention. Albeit different people's attention, we are in the attention economy. Without it, none of our "tactics" work.
Diandra has mastered getting and holding attention.Β
She also shares her secrets on creating content that gets attention and drives growth.
Because that's what marketing is for: to drive organizational growth.

I can't believe Season 3 is here.Β
I'd laugh if you told me when I recorded my first episode on February 16, 2022 (w/ Nick Gedda) that I'd still be going.
But here we are. Episode 1 begins with a local Green Bay marketer, Matt Froehlich.
I think there are two ingredients to good marketing guidance:
Matt checks both boxes.Β
Here's one takeaway I hope you get: Document your ideas and find channels (podcasts) to share them.
For people and companies.
