Chris Nee joins CoachAB and Kevin Little to preview the QB room for the 2023 season.
It is an absolutely loaded episode of On The Bench. We spend the first 20 minutes of the episode on recruiting -- thoughts on Charles Lester and KJ Bolden, the decommitment of Tawaski Abrams, and a transfer LB target emerges -- before diving in on a really fun interview regarding FSU's 2013 championship squad.
Ebo Entsuah was a walk-on fullback for the Seminoles during their championship run. His memories and insights from that team include some of the special talent around him, trying to block Lamarcus Joyner, the complexity of Jimbo Fisher's offense, and his recollection of Kelvin Benjamin telling coaches that Dameyune Craig was stealing signs.

Florida State enjoyed a fun run of recruiting activity to end this past week, with three commitments propelling the Seminoles to just outside the Top 10 of national rankings.
This episode of OTB focuses on the recruitments of those most recent pledges, upcoming decisions for some priority recruits (i.e. Charles Lester and KJ Bolden), and then a frenzied game of Buy or Sonnone.

Florida State is embarking on the 10-year anniversary of its 2013 championship season. To get going on reliving that season, Noles247 sits down with former FSU star safety Terrence Brooks to go over his favorite memories from that special year.
Brooks – who was a two-year starter for FSU, including an All-ACC performance in 2013 – ended up enjoying an eight-year career in the NFL. He was part of that special 2010 recruiting class, the first under Jimbo Fisher as a head coach, and was a key part of forming an utterly dominant defense.
In his sit-down with On The Bench, Brooks reveals why he had a special disdain for Florida and shares that he actually played the entire second half of the 2013 championship game vs. Auburn with a concussion (and the play he suffered the concussion on ended up being a turning point for him in that game).
Some time stamps are below…
7:45 – Was that 2012 team even more talented than the 2013 squad?
9:30 – That 2010 recruiting class was a ‘brotherhood’
17:20 – Practice that week of the Clemson game was no joke.
18:50 – The personalities that made up the DB rotation of Brooks, Lamarcus Joyner, Jalen Ramsey, P.J. Williams, and Ronald Darby.
23:50 – Reliving the time Brooks led a game of hangman on the sideline during a blowout victory.
30:10 – The Florida “butt whooping” and why Brooks hates UF.
38:30 – Brooks reveals that he ended up playing with a concussion for the second half of the championship game.
42:20 – The infamous Tre Mason Heisman pose is discussed here, with Brooks recognizing in the moment “y’all have given us way too much time.”
Our countdown of FSU's 40 Most Important Players for the 2023 season concludes with a look at the Seminoles' star power. Depth might be the calling card of this squad, but FSU has some potentially elite players at premium positions.
Coach AB, Kev Little, Trey Rowland and Brendan Sonnone unite to go over the final five players on the list.

A football roster is ever changing. The pieces on a roster for a season might appear to stay the same, but the needs and options to fill said needs are constantly being evaluated.
That makes the job Darrick Yray holds, as Florida State's general manager, an integral one. From researching trends across athletics, to pouring through film, to self evaluating, Yray and the rest of FSU's front office have taken a meticulous approach in helping the roster get to the point where the Seminoles are expected to be back in the mix atop the ACC in 2023.
Yray sits down with On The Bench to go over some general thoughts on roster building philosophies and trends.

Florida State landed two commitments to begin the month of July, and the 4th could be even more productive for the Seminoles. Several choice targets are committing on July 4th, and perhaps there can be some surprises as well as FSU's recruiting efforts from June begin to lead to commitments.
Where does FSU stand for TE Kylan Fox, WR James Madison II, WR Elijah Moore, and DB Rydarrius Morgan, who are all set to make decisions on Tuesday?
Plus On The Bench breaks down the commitments of DE DD Holmes and DB Ricky Knight III before playing some Buy or Sonnone.

Josh Storms, Florida State's Strength and Conditioning Director, joins On The Bench to go over a variety of topics about the Seminoles' offseason regiment.
Who is squatting 675 pounds? What sort of development has Storms seen from the likes of Jordan Travis, Joshua Farmer, and Patrick Payton? Is his program more of a science or an art form?
It's a fun, informative episode that gives a glimpse into what FSU is doing this offseason heading into a 2023 campaign with lofty expectations.
The top 40 train rolls on with players 10-6. Join the gang as they take a look at a priority defensive end and offensive tackle in this group.
Dane Draper and Zach Blostein join CoachAB on the couch (get it video folks) to discuss the weekends official visitors. The adults were all on vacation so the old man and his boys got together to break it down.
