  • #1427, Alain Moussi, Dave Asprey, Fitness, Fasting

    Happy Wednesday

We have a great show for you today with Alain Moussi and Dave Asprey! Alain Moussi will be talking about "Fitness Advice From A True Action Hero." Dave Asprey will be discussing "Fast This Way; Burn Fat, Heal Inflammation, and Eat Like The High Performing Human You Were Meant To Be." So, let's get started!

    Alain Moussi

Alain Moussi is Hollywood’s real life, hard-hitting action hero, starring in leading films including JIU JITSU, KICKBOXER: VENGEANCE, and KICKBOXER: RETALIATION, transitioning from stuntman and fight choreographer on huge blockbuster hits including SHAZAM!, SUICIDE SQUAD, and X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX, to name a few. Alain has taken his 25+ years of martial arts training, his Hollywood action hero experience ,and his love for fitness to create K2XFIT. K2XFIT is a transformational fitness app for all levels. When Alain is not acting, choreographing fights, or falling out of buildings, he is running his thriving martial arts school, NX Martial Arts & Fitness. Alain also loves spending time with his daughter Annabelle at their home in Canada.

Fitness Advice From A True Action Hero

Alain Moussi is an Gabonese-Canadian actor, stuntman and martial artist. He plays the lead role of Kurt Sloane in the reboot of Kickboxer series. Alain got into fitness and stuntman work after he saw the movie "Blood Sport." From the start, he became attracted to action movies. From the characters to the real people like Stallone and Schwarzenegger. Bernadette says it is so interesting how we can be influenced by film, but also by what our parents are doing! Balance is such an important part of martial arts, and you must understand how to control your center of gravity. K2XFit is a program that will give you that ripped athletic physique in just a few quick 30 minute sessions per week while actually having fun, guaranteed.

    Dave Asprey

Dave Asprey is the founder and Chairman of Bulletproof 360, a high performance coffee and food company, and creator of the widely popular Bulletproof Coffee. He is a three-time New York Times best selling author. Dave is also host of the Webby award-winning podcast Bulletproof Radio, and has been featured on the Today show, Fox News, Nightline, CNN, and dozens more. Over the last two decades Dave has been the “Father of Biohacking”.He has worked with world-renowned doctors, researchers, scientists and global mavericks to uncover the latest, most innovative methods, techniques and products for enhancing mental and physical performance.

Fast This Way; Burn Fat, Heal Inflammation, and Eat Like The High Performing Human You Were Meant To Be: Fasting

The definition of biohacking when Dave first created it was "changing the biology inside of you." Now, this has changed. Biohacking now is a crazy-sounding name for something not crazy at all—the desire to be the absolute best version of ourselves. The right nutrition is key. Eat lots of veggies lathered in grass-fed butter (the good stuff.) Eat grass-fed beef, pastured eggs, and low-mercury fish (like wild sockeye salmon) and be moderate with starches and fruits. "I invite you to read Fast This Way with an eye towards becoming more resilient at everything you do in your life. And yes, you might have to buy smaller pants, and you might live a lot longer. Those are side effects of doing things that make you feel great, right away."

When you fast, you are aware of all the spiritual thoughts in your head. You are aware of everything going on around you. Suffering and fasting are optional, only if you want to.

    Thank You!

A big thank you to our guests, Dave Asprey and Alain Moussi!

  • #1426, Jared Ramirez, Enviromedica, Laura Day

    Happy Tuesday!

We have a great show with Jared Ramirez from Enviromedica talking about over-sanitization, and Author Laura Day talking about turning crisis into positive change. So, let's get started!

    Jared Ramirez

ared Ramirez is the CEO of Enviromedica, makers of Terraflora and a sponsor of One Life Radio. Enviromedica is a natural health and wellness company founded in 2007. Inspired by nature and ancestral health, they make premium foundational products to support whole body nutrition and help people achieve optimal health.

We're Digging Up Dirt About Over-sanitization, Soil-Based Microbes

Human beings co-evolved with microorganisms and bacterias to form the modern industrial societies we see today. There are 10's of 1,000's of years of evolution. Our microbiome plays into our immune system. Let your kids get dirty, but make sure they are safe. Our ancestors had a symbiotic relationship with their microbes that evolved over millions of years and served them well. They were benevolent hosts to a dense jungle of microscopic creatures, including worms and other parasites that actually contributed to their health.

A decade ago, who knew that antibiotics dispensed during cold and flu season were potentially bringing us one step closer to a poor prognosis. But, none of us doing the prescribing realized that we might be paving the way to real illness in our well-meaning attempts to cure the sniffles. The prevailing wisdom was that germs are bad and we should get rid of them, and antibiotics are good and we should use them. The average American child will receive more than a dozen courses of antibiotics before reaching college, primarily for minor illnesses that require no treatment at all.

    Laura Day

Laura Day is a practicing intuitive and the New York Times bestselling author of multiple books, including The Circle, How to Rule the World From Your Couch and Welcome to Your Crisis. She has built a community dedicated to healing and processing collective and individual trauma. Laura has been featured in Newsweek, New York Magazine, The Independent, Bottom Line, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, and People magazines. She speaks regularly both here and abroad, and has appeared on numerous shows including CNN, Fox News, Good Morning America, The View, and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

    Turning Crisis Into Positive Change

After a very hard survival when her brother and sister committed suicide, Laura began to write her book to help others to persevere. We are defined by our patterns, crisis shatters that. You can adopt a methodology. Do not create new damage in your life via crisis. You can continue to re-traumatize yourself if you live in your old life exoskeleton. You have to believe that other people can help you. Some people are the "perfect type," but in crisis, you must realize who you want to me. A lot of who you want to be are who others want you to be. Ask yourself who you want to be.

    Thank You!

  • #1416, Cody Myler, Shellie Gardner, Money

We have a great show for you today! Cody Myler is here to talk about turning fitness into a business. Shellie Gardner is back to discuss tips for saving money. So, let's get started!

    Cody Myler

Cody Myler, also known as the Keto Cowboy, is a health & fitness expert, trainer, instructor and business owner. He holds a Bachelors in Exercise Psychology, a Masters in Sports Management and over 20 different fitness certifications. In 2019, Cody founded the National Athletic Keto Association, or NAKA, hosting the first Keto/Carnivore Bodybuilding Competition. He is the owner of NXT Rep Fitness, a 24hr. workout facility offering specialized workout and nutrition programs designed around an individual’s needs and fitness level.

    Fitness Into Business

The gym business definitely has taken a hit from the pandemic. Cody’s gym requires a mask when you walk in, but when you are working out you don’t need a mask. His gym is also open 24 hours to give people the option to avoid people and have some space. Cody has recently released a new coffee! Keto coffee is a combination of coffee and fats, particularly butter and coconut oil. It follows the principles of the ketogenic diet, which is a strict low-carb high-fat diet. The purpose of the diet is to induce a state of ketosis in the body, by reducing the consumption of carbohydrates. Follow Cody on Instagram for more of his keto coffee updates!

    Shellie Gardner

Shellie Gardner is the Owner, Christmas Light Source, online since 2005. She is an Electrical Engineer and Real Estate Investor. Shellie is currently pursuing a Masters in Theology at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

    Tips For Saving Money

affect the way we lives our lives in the fortune. Junior says he wished he learned more about money; credit cards, balancing checks, and savings. Even if it is just a dollar a month, just save. Shellie says it’s like paying yourself first. We all have dreams about where we want to travel and live. The freedom to do these things all depend on the choices! Bernadette says we live in an instance gratification society. We must change! Shellie says that in our spending patterns there are little decisions that add up to possible hundreds of dollars at the end of the month. At the time, a Starbucks run doesn’t seem expensive, but at the end of the day, $300 could make the difference between rent and food.

    Thank You

    Happy Furry Friday!
Furry Friday is brought to you by Castor & Pollux! Today we have a great show in store for you with two animal loving women, Maura Davies and Dr. RuthAnn Lobos! Our pets just ate their delicious Castor & Pollux Pet Food for lunch! As the leader and maker of America’s #1 organic pet food, Castor & Pollux has set a new standard with the most comprehensive portfolio of purposeful pet food. So, let’s get started!
    Maura Davies
Maura Davies is the Vice President for Marketing & Communications at the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) of Texas. As a longtime friend of One Life Radio, Maura is with us almost every Friday!
    Pet Grooming and Care
Constant urination cane caused by many things! It could be for parking scent, or to let predators know that they are there too. When you noice a change in you pet’s urinary habits, take them to the vet. If your pet typically goes pee all at one time, but now that start to pee a little at a time all the time, take them to the vet. If you notice changes in your pet’s behavior, they are typically trying to tell you something. Dogs are typically way better at letting their humans know that they don’t feel well. Cats are masters at hiding illnesses.

You should bathe your dog about once a month. Overbathing can dry out their skin and lead to dog ecxcema. Unless they are super stinky, do it once a month. Cats rarely need baths. Cats are great a grooming themselves, especially if they are indoor cats only. Remember to never use human shampoo or conditioner. Pooch or Feline specific products only! How often you brush depends on the breed of dog or cat. If your dog and cat has long/medium hair, you should be brushing them a few times a week.
Dr. RuthAnn Lobos and Castor & Pollux
Dr. RuthAnn Lobos is lead veterinarian for Merrick PetCare, the makers of our Furry Friday sponsor, Castor & Pollux organic and responsibly-sourced pet food. Dr. Lobos is a practicing veterinarian with more than 15 years of experience in the pet food industry. She loves sharing the power of pet nutrition with colleagues, pet parents and friends. In her undergraduate studies, Dr.RuthAnn pursued an animal science degree. She went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) from Louisiana State University and became a certified canine rehabilitation therapist. RuthAnn is an avid marathoner and triathlete and proud mama to three active pups, Rigolets, Stella and Finn.
    Pet Resolutions Part 2
Today we are doing pet resolutions part 2! There are a lot of fun things to do around your house with your pets! Dr. RuthAnn and Junior tell Bernadette that they both play hide and seek with their pets! Talk to your pets. They might not be able to understand you, but having them hear your voice is soothing. Car rides are great, but you have to do it in a safe way. The safest way to transport your pups is to secure them with their very own seat belts or dog car harnesses. Not only does a seatbelt confine your furry friend, but it keeps them safe in the event of an accident.

Dr. Ruthann Lobos recommends taking your furry family member into the vet for a wellness check once a year. Once your animal is older, age 7-8, she suggests going to the vet twice a year. Be observant. Id your pets and always microchip your pets. Microchips are the best way to never lose your pet for good.
    Thank You!

  • #1424, Dewone Bennett, Marriage

    Happy Thursday!
Dewone Bennett is here with Bernadette for the full hour talking about the 21 questions to ask your partner before getting married! Stay tuned to listen to all the clues and secrets to a happy, healthy marriage. So, let's get started with talking about marriage!
    Dewone Bennett
Dewone Bennett is a Licensed Professional Counselor with two masters degrees and over 12 years of counseling experience. He currently has his own practice, Dewone Bennett Counseling in Dallas, TX. He believes that the key to mental and behavioral success is the ability to master self-awareness and emotional control.
21 Questions To Ask Your Partner Before Getting Married: Marriage
The number one question going into marriage is debt! Debt follows and transfers to only you, but then to your spouse. Be upfront! Debt is one of the top 5 reasons that leads people to get divorced. A lot of couples who find talking about money awkward and avoid it, they tend to fight later in their marriage. Here is the article he is referencing! Talk about your upbringing with your partner, and the darlin things that you hated about your childhood as well. Dewone Bennett says talks bout sex! Sometimes deep conversations are way more important with just sex.

Don't feel crazy if you want to google your date or your partner! Also, talk about where you want to live, Bernadette things this is dealbreaker. Navigating the holidays with multiple households is nearly impossible, especially if both parents are divorced. At some point, you need to deiced on values and who and what top do on holidays. Do not be afraid to compromise! Bernadette brings up that love languages are a do or die! You have to find your partners love language via communication or quiz. Understanding a love language is understanding what your partner needs at their core.
    Thank You!

  • #1423, Drew Manning, David Welek

    Happy Wednesday!
We have Fit2Fat2Fit Author and Fitness expert Drew Manning. One Life Radio also has yoga and conditioning instructor David Welek on! We have a great show for you today, so stick around. Let's get started!
    Drew Manning
Drew did the original Fit2Fat2Fit journey back in 2011 gaining 75 lbs on purpose in 6 months! The biggest lesson Drew learned for sure was empathy for those that struggle and the importance of it in this industry! No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care first! Drew is mainly doing this to spread the message of EMPATHY this time. In four months, gained 62.4 lbs, 12.5” gained in my waist, 9.5” gained in my hips, and 17.8% body fat gained. Drew did this all in 4 months!

The first time around, Drew was eating the food to simply gain the weight. This time around, he wasn't just eating to gain weight, but eating to numb the pain as well to try and subdue the pain from a breakup. This caused Drew to think deeper into weight gain and weight loss. Most people do not have an understanding of the mental and emotional side of eating well and working out to lose weight. It becomes an emotional journey! Stay disciplined in one single thing every single day. You must also train your brain to get through uncomfortable situations. Drew does a 60 second shower to feel uncomfortable. What keeps Drew accountable is that tens of thousands of people are following along with him, and that is inspiring! Follow Drew on instagram @Fit2Fat2Fit on instagram!
    David Welek

David has been a strength and conditioning fitness instructor in Dallas, Texas for over 20 years. He is the creator of Black Dragon Yoga, a method of training that integrates principles and techniques of yoga and martial arts.

David got into body building and strength training and by 24-25 years old, he felt old when he got out of bed. So he turned to yoga! David Welek credits yoga to relieving his addiction from weight training. Feeling stagnant with just yoga, David turned to martial arts as well. Years later, he still practices yoga and martial arts principals religiously. Black Dragon Yoga was born! Mobility and flexibility get used a lot interchangeably and they are different. Del ability is stretching the ligaments and lengthening them. Mobility is more for the joints and how much you can move your body.

If you're not assessing, you're guessing. It is always best to get a full body assessment before throwing yourself into a fitness and yoga journey. David Welek also says that breath work is often overlooked in simple yoga classes! Being tested for breath work is so important.

    Thank You!

  • #1421, Dr. Steven Schwartz, Mary Holland, COVID Corner

    Happy Monday!
We have a great show in store for you all! Mary Holland from the Children’s Health Defense is here to talk about HPV inoculations! Dr. Steven Schwartz is back to discuss SARS-CoV-2, COVID Corner and more! So, let's get started!
    Dr. Steven Schwartz
Dr. Steve Schwartz is a recognized physician, researcher, inventor and entrepreneur. He is currently the day hospitalist at a U.S. military hospital in the Midwest, overseeing patient care, teaching, research, and leadership. He is also the Chief Medical Officer of Flutrends International and STS Health. Visit STS Health for more information.

So many people are double masking, Bernadette is wondering if it really helps. Dr. Schwartz recalls a study that you would actually have to wear 8 masks all the time to be safe with your mouth and nose from contracting COVID - 19. Double masking seems to be a pipe dream. Researchers in virology labs use the n95 all the time to be as safe as they can be. Wear a mask. 1/3 of people who have coronavirus are asymptomatic. A mask is a simple sacrifice to make to protect your fellow citizens. Very little COVID patients cough persistently. Because we are so focused on COVID, we forget that the common cold and flu are still out there.
    Mary Holland
Mary Holland serves as General Counsel and Vice Chair of the board at Children’s Health Defense. She left the faculty of the New York University School of Law where she served for 17 years, most recently directing its Graduate Lawyering Program. Mary received her Master of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from Columbia University, and her undergraduate degree from Harvard. She has worked in international public and private law. Mary is the co-author of “Vaccine Epidemic” and “The HPV Vaccine on Trial: Seeking Justice for a Generation Betrayed”
    The HPV Vaccine On Trial
Mary and 6 other authors wrote a book all about he HPV vaccine. The HPV facts are simply this. There are ver 100 types of HPV. Genital warts are associated with types 6 and 11. CIN, or Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia is only types 18,18, 31, and 45. VAIN, Vaginal and Penile is types 16 and 33. Getting the HPV vaccine has never prevented cervical cancer or lesios, aka an area with abnormal cells. Gardasil is a vaccine produced by Merck that offerers protection from HPV type 16 and 18 only. 84% of HPV infections (including high risk infections) will clear up on their own. Approximately 15% will progress to a high grade lesion. Only 1% will progress to cancer.

The average age for cervical cancer is 48, so why are we vaccinating 11-12 year old girls and boys? The FDA approved guardrail for aged 9-26 year olds. There is simple a disconnect between the facts and what we are being fed in doctor's offices.
    Thank You!

    Happy Furry Friday!
We have a great show in store for you all on Furry Friday! We are proud to announce our partnership with Castor & Pollux! As the leader and maker of America’s #1 organic pet food, Castor & Pollux has set a new standard with the most comprehensive portfolio of purposeful pet food. We have Ryan Cain from The Nashville Recovery Center back with us. Maura Davies is here to discuss spay and neuter month! So, let's get started!
Maura Davies and Spay Neuter Month
Maura Davies is the Vice President for Marketing & Communications at the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) of Texas. As a longtime friend of One Life Radio, Maura is with us almost every Friday!

Is your pet spayed/neutered? February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month and February 25, 2020 is World Spay Day. The decision to spay or neuter your pet can be the best decision you make for both your pet’s and your community’s long-term welfare. The surgery provides important health benefits, including longer life expectancy, lower rates of certain cancers and fewer behavioral issues. The SPCA is offering free dog spay/neutering in South Dallas! Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and scheduling a spay/neuter appointment! Spaying and neutering pets helps them lead long, happy lives.
Ryan Cain and The Nashville Recovery Center
Ryan Cain is the President of the Spero Group and the president and CEO of the Nashville Recovery Center, Tennessee Recovery Clinic and NRhythm Recovery Residences. He has been working in healthcare for almost 20 years and has been published in numerous articles and appeared on various media outlets. Ryan lives his life authentically and inspires others to have the courage to live their lives to their truest potential.

The US has one of the highest rate of people with additions compared to other countries. Around only 10% of people receive treatment for their addictions. Ryan says this is because most people do not recognize that they have a problem. Also, timing to take 30 days out of your life and get better is not always attainable for everyone. American culture is certainly one that requires people to feel that they need to take something to relieve the stress of it all. A successful addiction treatment plan addresses all the problems, not just the substance being abused.

Recovery is returning to normalcy, so recovery means hope again.

  • #1419, Warren Rustand, Dewone Bennett, Commitment

    Happy Thursday!
We have a great show in store for you today! Warren Rustand, legendary CEO and Presidential Confidant is here! We also have Dewone Bennett talking about fear of commitment, pt 2. So, let's get started!
    Warren Rustand
He is an entrepreneur, corporate leader, and the Forbes Books author of The Leader Within Us: Mindset, Principles, and Tools for a LIFE BY DESIGN. Selected as a White House Fellow in 1973, Warren was a special assistant to the Secretary of Commerce and co-led the first-ever executive-level trade mission to the Soviet Union. He also served as Appointments and Cabinet Secretary to President Gerald Ford. A former academic All-American basketball player at the University of Arizona, Rustand has been the CEO of six companies and has served on the board of directors of more than 50 for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. He is currently the Dean of Learning for Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Global Leadership Academy.

The greatest leaders do the most difficult things.
Defeating the Obstacles that Keep us from Hitting our Goals
Warren starts out by talking about smoking gun. He begins with witnessing a transfer of power between presidents at the mere age of 29 years old. Warren now helps people young people and CEO's understanding power and what it means. Goal setting is so important. Those who live their lives spontaneously will not thrive compared to those who live their lives by principals and rule, and who follow a vision. Values and core belies are what keep us on the highway on the life. We must be driven by the priorities of life. All of us make mistakes and take the wrong exit, but all of us can ultimately get back on the highway. Clarity will drive us to success.
Fear Of Commitment - Pt 2
A lot of times, people have had a fear of commitment and didn't know it. Dewone has a personal story that made him develop a fear of commitment. The question is why do people have fear of loss? It is all about childhood, and what the now adult, witnessed as a child and what they now accept as reality now. Shared values should aways be a part of "relationship checklists." Values and outlook are most important, but make sure your checklists are realistic and attainable. Triggers are all around us, but we must remember that triggers are set by our anxiety and subconscious. Just talk to your partner honestly and ask them honest questions.
    Thank You!

  • #1417, Jackie Schlegel, Greg Glaser, Physicians for Informed Consent

    Happy Tuesday
We have a great, informative, vaccination show for you today! Jackie Schlegel from the Texans For Vaccine Choice is here to discuss Texas Legislation changes. Greg Glaser from The Physicians For Informed Consent is here to talk about their mission. So, let’s get started!
    Jackie Schlegel
Jackie is the Executive Director for Texans for Vaccine Choice, an educational foundation with over 30,000 social media followers as well as 12,000+ official members. Thanks to Jackie’s endless energy and passion, this group is organized with local branches, core members, and team leaders impacting their schools, their communities, and their legislators. Her unshakeable dedication inspires all members to have a laser focus on their mission of protecting and advancing informed consent, medical privacy, and vaccine choice.
    Legislative Session Update
Jackie is excited to be here! She knows that these are heavy subjects, but that she, along side One Life Radio need to bring clarity to the US Population and the world. Jackie became incredibly passionate about vaccine choice with the birth of her first child 20 years ago. Bernadette says with her first daughter, she took the time to research, but not everyone has that luxury of time, so having the right to choose is important.

Jackie masked up, followed negative covid test protocol, and all the regulations when she visited the Texas capitol, but she was denied access to more information because she had not received the vaccine. She warns us that in the future, she fears that things like airlines, hotels, and even employers may require the vaccine. In Jackie’s case while she was trying to fight for vaccine choice in Texas, she points out that she could not even get the vaccine right now even if she wanted it. Recently there was a Texas Republican Congressman who brought a bill forward that wanted to tie giving stimulus checks to receiving the covid vaccine.
    Greg Glaser
Greg Glaser is the General Counsel for Physicians for Informed Consent, or PIC, a nonprofit organization opposed to vaccine mandates. He was recently called a 'human vaccine encyclopedia' for his work with the litigation team opposing the UC's mandatory flu shot. Greg is passionate about organic living and the Constitution.
    Physicians For Informed Consent
PIC began after a mandatory vaccine law was put into place in California for school children. Greg talks about the CDC recommended vaccine schedule vs what other doctors want. The PIC supports doctor independence and consumer choice. The mission of Physicians for Informed Consent (PIC) is to deliver data on infectious diseases and vaccines. They also want to unite doctors, scientists, healthcare professionals, attorneys, and families who support voluntary vaccination. All of Physicians For Informed Consent is incredibly particular in the documents they produce. The PIC makes sure they are scientifically correct and won't be banned on social media. PIC’s vision is that doctors and the public are able to evaluate the data on infectious diseases and vaccines objectively, and voluntarily engage in informed decision-making about vaccination.

Greg talks about the COVID vaccine. The legal precedent for mandatory vaccinations dates back to a 1905 Supreme Court case after a smallpox outbreak in Massachusetts. Once a COVID-19 vaccine or vaccines are made available, states could mandate that people get them. Because the covid vaccines are for emergency, they can not be mandated like other vaccinations such as the flu shot.
