You can miss out on a lot with a fear of commitment. Fear of commitment can not only have you miss out on experiences with friends and family, but also with work. You have to me aware of self sabotage behaviors and fear of connection. Do not let these fears get in the way of friends, relationships, and work. Intimacy is a true connection to someone else. • #1404, Beth Reeder Johnson, Von Eaglin

    Happy Thursday!
We have a great show today with both guests talking about New Year's Resolutions. Beth Reeder Johnson is talking about setting New Year's resolutions that really stick. Von Eaglin is talking about New Year, New Habits.

Setting New Year's Resolutions that Really Stick: 5 Ways to Create Lasting Habits
Beth Reeder Johnson is a licensed Psychiatric Social Worker and Individual, Family and Couples Therapist with over 14 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. She says that discipline is highly overrated. Beth doesn't think that discipline is bad. If you want the chips and queso eat them with friends. But, if you are eating an entire bag of chips by yourself or downing a bottle of wine by yourself, rethink your dopamine release. There's moderation in all things. Have a positive thought with your goals. Also, set reasonable goals by planning a cheat day or considering a day that you may "mess up" your cheat day. Not everything is going to be fun. But, have that subtle mindset shift where you make things fun. Even if something "sucks," find ways in the most buddhist way to makes things fun and find joy.
New Year, New Habits with Von Eaglin
Von Eaglin is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and works with two group practices in the Dallas area. He is a certified couple relationship trainer and sees a wide range of clients addressing men’s issues, anger management, abuse, and addiction; just to name a few. Eaglin is also a doctoral candidate at the University of North Texas in the Counseling and Higher Education Department. His Ph.D. research focuses on on couple relationships dialogue. • #1402, Shawn Wells, World Keto Day

    Happy Tuesday!
Our favorite guest and the World's Greatest Formulator, Shawn Wells, joins us on National Keto Day to breakdown what Keto truly means and how it can be beneficial for overall health, if done correctly.
    Shawn Wells
Wells is a Master of Public Health, Licensed Dietitian, Registered Dietitian, Certified Sports Nutritionist from the International Society of Sports Nutrition. He is also a Fellow of the International Society of Sports Nutrition. Shawn Wells is the world’s leading nutritional biochemist and expert on Health Optimization. He has formulated over 500 supplements and patented 10 novel ingredients. Formerly a Chief Clinical Dietitian with over a decade of clinical experience, he has counseled thousands of people on natural health solutions such as keto, paleo, fasting, and supplements.
As a world-renowned thought-leader on mitochondrial health, he has been paid to speak on five different continents. His insights have been prominently featured in documentaries, nationally syndicated radio programs, and regularly on morning television. Shawn’s expertise can help any health-conscious high achiever to better manage stress and experience higher performance and more energy through utilizing his practical wholistic solutions.
    National Keto Day
What is the definition of diet? Scientifically, a diet is what you eat, but many people associate the word with restrictions. They think that a diet is a fast fix to a long term problem, but the fact is people don’t get unhealthy in a short period of time so they can’t recover from it quickly either. Diets might offer a quick outcome, but crash diets are physically and emotionally unhealthy. Taking your time while shifting nutrition means it’s also going to be far more long lasting and impactful. A better word for diet is lifestyle!

The whole point of a ketogenic diet is to shift into a powerful metabolic state during which the body is burning primarily fat (as ketones are derived from fats). Keto is a powerful tool for easy weight loss—by crushing cravings, creating boundless energy, clearing through brain fog, supporting a healthy immune system, building unwavering resilience and much, much more.
    Keto Food Basics

Eat fatty fish and seafood three times per week. Focus on healthy fats like good oils and things like avocados! Go the extra mile for pasture-raised, organic meat, dairy and eggs. They can make a world of difference. Load up on veggies! If you snack on crunchy veggies like carrots and cucumber slices you are less likely to reach for the chips.

Keto, just like any other lifestyle, is about finding what works for you. There is no “one size fits all,” because lifestyle choices are like a compass—they might point you where you need to go, but you have to continually tune into your internal and external environment to get there.

    Thank You!

  • #1401, Autumn Warren Connolly, Power Of 8, Mary Holland

    Happy Monday!
Mary Holland, vice chair for The Children's Health Defense talks about the COVID Vaccine. Autumn Warren Connolly is back to talk about "The Power Of 8." So let's get started!
    Mary Holland
Mary Holland serves as General Counsel and Vice Chair of the board at Children’s Health Defense. She left the faculty of the New York University School of Law where she served for 17 years, most recently directing its Graduate Lawyering Program. Mary received her Master of Arts and Juris Doctor Degrees from Columbia University, and her undergraduate degree from Harvard. She has worked in international public and private law. Mary is the co-author of “Vaccine Epidemic” and “The HPV Vaccine on Trial: Seeking Justice for a Generation Betrayed”
    The Covid Vaccine
Suspicions grow that nanoparticles in Pfizer’s and Mererda's COVID-19 vaccine trigger rare allergic reactions.
Polyethylene glycol, PEG is a polyether compound derived from petroleum with many applications, from industrial manufacturing to medicine. The two COVID vaccines available in the US use PEG. PEG is the basis of a number of laxatives. Whole bowel irrigation with polyethylene glycol and added electrolytes is used for bowel preparation before surgery or colonoscopy. PEG is also used as an excipient in many pharmaceutical products. The PEG issue is anaphylactic shock.

Severe allergy-like reactions in at least eight people who received the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer and BioNTech over the past 2 weeks may be due to a compound in the packaging of the messenger RNA (mRNA) that forms the vaccine’s main ingredient, scientists say. A similar mRNA vaccine developed by Moderna, which was authorized for emergency use in the United States on Friday, also contains the compound, polyethylene glycol (PEG). We should say that 8 people throughout the world is a small number compared to now many people are dying from the COVID virus themselves.
    Autumn Warren Connolly
Autumn Connolly lives in the sky islands of Arizona with her three kiddos and animal babies. She is the creator of Anvil Traditional Healing, a company dedicated to restoring microbiome health through diet. Follow Autumn on Instagram @AnvilTraditionalHealing. Autumn is a self-taught vegan chef, a serial gardener and an avid believer and teacher of the powers of meditation.
    Power Of 8
In The Power of Eight®, Lynne reveals her remarkable findings from decades of researching and experimenting with small and large groups about how group intention can heal our lives – and change the world for the better. When individuals in a group focus their intention together on a single target, a powerful collective dynamic emerges that can heal longstanding conditions, mend fractured relationships, lower violence and even rekindle life purpose. It is about getting together and focusing your intentions into a prayer power almost!

In 2021, Autumn has some new products coming out with a new etsy store! We will post about it when her store is up and running! An example of the power of 8 is when you need something, you can increase the power of your energetic intention with a group of others. The power of 8 is reciprocal. If you will make a power thought each morning and combine that with mediation, you will likely get what you want. In her book, The Field, she investigated the photons of light emitting from all living things. She reported that sound science shows we are actually sending and receiving energy all the time, as are all living things.
    Thank You!

  • #1399, Fit2Fat2Fit, Drew Manning, Jonny Bowden

    Happy Wednesday!
Today we have Dr. Jonny Bowden talking about the cause of all illness, and Drew Manning from Fit2Fat2Fit talking about his experience the second time around! So let’s get started!
    Drew Manning
Health and fitness expert Drew Manning is the New York Times best-selling author of “Fit2Fat2Fit: The Unexpected Lessons from Gaining and Losing 75 LBs On Purpose.” Today, Drew tells One Life Radio all about his 100 mile run he completed in 24 hours. After training for a combination of 6 week and 7 month bursts, Drew credits the ketogenic diet for his success! Your diet is a tool in your tool belt that you can use on your journey to health!
    Fit2Fat2Fit Pt. 2
Drew did the original Fit2Fat2Fit journey back in 2011 gaining 75 lbs on purpose in 6 months! The biggest lesson Drew learned for sure was empathy for those that struggle and the importance of it in this industry! No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care first! Drew is mainly doing this to spread the message of EMPATHY this time. In four months, gained 62.4 lbs, 12.5” gained in my waist, 9.5” gained in my hips, and 17.8% body fat gained. Drew did this all in 4 months!

Drew Manning is back on his joinery from Fit2Fat2Fit! This week, he has started grocery shopping properly, stitching, meditations, affirmations, and a gratitude list. On the week of January 4th, Drew will start his journey back towards fit! Drew timed his journey back to fitness around the holidays, but who wouldn’t!
    Dr. Jonny Bowden
Dr. Jonny earned six certifications in personal training and fitness. Jonny Bowden is known as The Nutrition Myth Buster and is a nationally known expert on weight loss and health. He is the best-selling author of 15 books, including “The Great Cholesterol Myth” and “The Most Effective Ways to Live Longer.” He has a Masters degree in psychology, a PhD in holistic nutrition, and is board certified by the American College of Nutrition. His books include “Living Low Carb,” “Smart Fat,” “The Great Cholesterol Myth” and “The 150 Healthiest Foods On Earth.”
The True Cause Of All Illnesses
Dr. Jonny Bowden has COVID! Oh no! Bur Dr. Jonny is optimistic. While we look at things like hurricanes, we should look at the hosts of the viruses. Besides doubling up on vitamin D, Dr. Jonny has also doubled up on things like NAC.

The hormone insulin helps control the amount of sugar (glucose) in the blood. With insulin resistance, the body's cells don't respond normally to insulin. Glucose can't enter the cells as easily, so it builds up in the blood. This can eventually lead to type 2 diabetes. Everyone’s insulin tolerance and needs are different. But when you try to deny yourself sugar or overload your body, your insulin stops working. This is the most pervasive diagnosis in the world!

Insulin resistance typically has no symptoms. But when you come down with an illness, even COVID, you need to look at insulin resistance!
    Thank You!

  • #1397, Logan Shiels, Kip Watson, Charlie Brown

    Happy Monday!
We have a great show in store today! We have Kip Watson on first up talking about the "The Charlie Brown Mindset" and negative self talk! At the half, we have beauty expert Logan Shiels tasing about 2021 Skincare Trends! So let's get started!
    Logan Sheils
Logan Shiels is an Oklahoma girl that has planted her roots in Dallas. She has immersed herself in all things beauty and fashion. Logan is currently a specialist stylist at ERA salon, and is also the co-founder of Uncommon Man alongside her husband Kyle Shiels. She loves getting active, not only in fitness but in her community as well through philanthropy. No matter the day, she’s ready to hustle.
    2021 Skincare Trends
2021 skincare trends are changing! Mascne or Mask Ance is now a thing. It is becoming more and more and more popular to hear the term "mascne" when talking about are skin! When you breathe or talk, your mask tends to trap in a lot of hot air. Besides being annoying, this air creates a warm, humid environment — and an ideal setting for yeast, bacteria and other flora, such as demodex (types of skin mites that naturally live on our skin), to grow. A layer of moisturizer (lighter if you are oily or acne prone and thicker if you have sensitive or eczema-prone skin) or even a sunblock that contains zinc or titanium can help your skin by serving as a barrier against any friction or irritation that develops.
    Kip Watson
Kip Watson is a Licensed Professional Counselor & Supervisor and Sports Psychology Professional. With nearly 20 years of experience with athletes, coaches, families, and corporate teams, Kip can do it all as a certified high performance coach. To read more about Kip as owner and founder of BrainCode Corps, click here.
Charlie Brown Mindset – How to Change Negative Self-Talk
Kip says some people are innately wired differently than others. Some people see then positive, and some people see the negative whether the situation. We all know how Charlie Brown talked negatively to himself, but how he persevered. Be aware about what your self talk is. Positive self talk is not a bad thing! Do not be afraid to tell yourself that you are going to take action to do something compassionate today.

Change the pronouns and "action based" self talk! You live the words you tell yourself in your mind. Self-talk is the act of talking to yourself either aloud or mentally. No matter good or bad, these are the messages that you are telling yourself all day long about yourself. Take a piece of paper, fold it in half, and write the positive and negative on each side. Get that energy at a high level! Look at the positive, analyze the negative. You can do it!
