  • Every Child is at Risk For Suicide, Michelle Norris – Paleo(f)x #1005

This is a heavy subject, but it affects too many people to not talk about it. Being a child or teen in today's world is so difficult. Not only are they going through the normal hormonal changes, but add in social media and all the bullying, they go through a lot emotionally. And, as a teen normally is, they don't really want to talk to their parents about their struggles. Dr. Mark Goulston is the co-creator and moderator of the suicide prevention documentary Stay Alive. He has studied this extensively and understands the reasons why children and teens suffer. He talks with us today about identifying the signs that your child may be at risk for suicide. Dr. Goulston also gives us great advice on how to start the conversation with you child or teen to let them get their emotions out and understand them better. He offers this link to watch Stay Alive for free.

We play a pre-recorded interview from Paleo(f)x this year with the Founder and CEO, Michelle Norris. She tells us how the loss of her daughter 8 years ago was the catalyst for this amazing event. Bernadette and Michelle talk about why Paleo(f)x is different than just any old expo and what the future is for the event.
