This week on The Second of Strength Podcast we're talking social media and one of the - less talked about- risks: Instant Gratification. This week's episode will teach you the power of delayed gratification
Social media plays a huge role in the lives of teenagers and nearly everyone else.
By the numbers (Pew Research):
Why? Social media is addictive because it targets the addiction parts of our brain.
So what? The world is at your finger tips. The speed of social media, the internet, is creating a lack of patience. We want everything "now". Unfortunately, happiness, growth, and satisfaction TAKE time.
The risk is that if teenagers or ourselves are constantly trading lasting satisfaction for instant gratification. This episode is designed to help you and your teenagers delay gratification to strengthen the future.

Quiet quitting? Have you heard of it? This weeks episode of The Second of Strength Podcast talks about quiet quitting and specifically asks the questions "Are you quiet quitting your life".
Quiet quitting is an increasingly popular term. My guess is that even if you haven't heard the term, you've seen it or maybe even experienced it. Essentially, employees are quitting work...but not resigning. They are quitting emotionally and shirking responsibilities. This has me wondering if we are quiet quitting our lives. Quiet quitting growth. Quiet quitting our relationships.
I want to help you diagnose the symptoms of quiet quitting in your life and give you 3 specific solutions to keep you from doing it or get you back on track if you feel like you have.

Think about how your talk to yourself and what that does to your mental health, growth, and happiness. This episode is perfect for helping you and your teens transition your mindset with positive affirmations. The result is you will start living the positive words you tell yourself.

This week I share a personal experience that changed the way I parent. It was the unlock I needed to create stronger relationships with the people I love. Then I share 3 ways to make it happen.

Today's episode of The Second of Strength podcast, I'm giving you 3 tips to help you go from a victim mindset to victor. Too many people, both teenagers and adults, are thinking like victims by allowing their current situation or circumstances dictate their path towards growth and happiness.
I read a statistic that said that 80% of our 60,000 daily thoughts are negative
This episode will help you break that mental cycle so you can rise above your current situation and step into your best life.
