We are so so sorry, we put off recording this one shot so we could record it on our true one year anniversary and that morning there was a family emergency that made it almost impossible to record. To keep it balanced between family and our obligations, we've decided to upload a snippet of a patreon episode in replace of recording today. In 2004 Maura Murray packed up her dorm room, emailed her teachers and her boss that a family member died so she would be gone for the week (a family member did not die), packed up her essentials in her backpack and took off towards Vermont. After stopping a few places on surveillance, Maura crashed into a snowbank. A neighbor stopped to help her and then left to call for help. In the 10 minutes it took for police to get there, Maura seemingly vanished never to be seen again. This story is much larger than we're telling you today, it is full of very odd stories that all lead up to the biggest true crime mystery of all time.
