Oregon Football played a very well-rounded, complete game that saw them win all 3 sides of the ball against the BYU Cougars: offense, defense, and special teams were all advantages for the Ducks. A game that was 38-7 through three quarters had Oregon fans jumping for joy and filling with optimism for what this season could become in 2022, and even BYU fans were impressed with how the Ducks showed up last weekend.

On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin is joined by the host of Locked On Cougars, Jake Hatch. He shares why despite BYU being shorthanded at WR and DL going into this game, the score would not have been influenced enough to the point where it could have been competitive on that day. However, key moments and turning points in the game allowed Oregon to pull away from BYU including a 24-7 halftime lead thanks to two 4th down conversions on the drive.

Individual standouts in the game included CB Christian Gonzales, WR Troy Franklin, and TE Terrance Ferguson who all made critical plays over the course of the game. There were also unsung heroes like DL Casey Rogers and members of the secondary who played disciplined, assignment football on defense that allowed them to suffocate the Cougars' offense.
