Oregon's defense had one of its better games of the year and the offense came through when needed against the Tar Heels, resulting in a true team victory for win #10 this season. Part of the allure of bowl games is the individual players who earn more playing time due to opt outs, and Oregon had several players stand out heading into the offseason.

On today's episode of Locked On Ducks, Spencer McLaughlin looks at a bevy of players who may have earned themselves playing time heading into next season with their performance in the Holiday Bowl on Wednesday. Several of those standouts came on defense.

With future NFL cornerback Christian Gonzales opting out of the game to prepare for the draft, a couple members of the secondary proved themselves capable going forward. Oregon also got a clearer picture at a couple of offensive positions with excellent performances as well
