The Orladno Magic showed flashes of their potential in the preseason opener against the Miami Heat as they rallied in the second half to score the win.

The starters showed they can put the pieces together and improve as they continue to play together with Desmond Bane making a solid debut and Paolo Banchero starring on defense.

The team's potential for growth was seen most in Jase Richardson, who turned from a rookie into the catalyst for the Magic's victory. Richardson scored all 13 of his points in the third quarter as he suddenly clicked with the NBA court and looked comfortable for the team.

This game was a solid place for the Magic to grow.
