Join us for the next episode of the Our Daily Magic Podcast(LIVE from the Facebook Group) as "I am Magickai" aka Kaí and Dell Henderson aka The True Essence Connector will be interviewing Laban Ditchburn.
A child badly affected by divorce, poverty and dysfunction, Laban sought validation and escapism in all the wrong places. But through self-discovery and a ton of hard work, he conquered the full gamut of addiction—alcohol, sex, gambling, drugs, and negative self-talk.
More interestingly, by finding and removing the root cause of his need to escape, giving up these addictions has been almost effortless.
Losing sixty pounds of body fat and replacing it with thirty pounds of muscle mass and bone density, Laban also found a cure for his “incurable” auto-immune disease. His mental health, cognitive function, and ability to handle, recover and thrive from extreme physical challenges, all have improved exponentially.
Physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally in charge of his own destiny, Laban’s journey continues to inspire those ready to change their lives.
An exemplar and a revolutionary, he revels in unabashedly sharing what he’s learned: how to conquer the demons you don’t know you have, and how to be unstoppable in getting to where you want to be.
The episode started with Laban sharing his journey (7:21). Kai was curious on how Laban overcame the negative self-talk which was a battle with himself (11:35) where he shares that reading A LOT of books greatly helped. Dell follows up with a question on whether he found the root cause of these negative judgements (13:47).
Laban asks on Dell's journey of being co-dependent (15:53) where he shares his childhood and family experiences, and his relationship with Kai. He then asks Kai on the impact of Dell's experiences and realizations to her(19:52).
Kai, interested in bodybuilding herself, was curious on how Laban lost 60 pounds of body fats (34:30) where he shares about his auto-immune disease and on how he needed to steer clear from of carbs and gluten consuming animal protein instead which healed him and lead him to do marathons.
They then proceed to talk about forgiveness (45:40), with Laban sharing his and his wife's experience with consecutive miscarriages (47:45) which stemmed from botched forced abortion when she was younger.
Kai then asks Laban what's the one thing that he wants the viewers/listeners to remember from the interview (59:54) which is simply, "Ask for help so that you can remain strong, not so that you appear weak. Keep asking for help, until you get it".
Listen to the whole episode where our hosts talk about loving ourselves, recovering from addictions, placebo effects and self-healing, forgiveness and many more!
