  • The God Who Never Lets You Go
There is a truth about God that you need to hold on to with both hands when life is hard and you feel like giving up. God never lets you go. John 10 verses 28 and 29 record the words of Jesus. "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. Neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all. And no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand." You are held in the hands of Jesus and the Father. No one can snatch you out. No circumstance. No enemy. No failure. Nothing can separate you from His grip.My dear friend, your security is not in your ability to hold on to God. It is in His ability to hold on to you. There will be times when you feel like letting go. Times when your faith is weak. Times when you feel distant from God. But in those times, He is still holding you. You are secure in His hand. He will never let you go.Think about Peter. He denied Jesus three times. He failed spectacularly. He wept bitterly. He must have felt like he had lost everything. He must have wondered if Jesus had let go of him. But Jesus had not let go. After the resurrection, Jesus sought Peter out. He restored him. He gave him a new commission. Peter learned that even his greatest failure could not separate him from the love of Christ.Think about the prodigal son. He left his father's house. He wasted everything. He hit rock bottom. He thought he had lost his place in the family forever. But his father had never let go of him. The father was watching for him every day. When he was still a long way off, the father saw him and ran to him. The father had never stopped loving him. He had never let go.Think about the apostle Paul. He was convinced that nothing could separate him from the love of God. He wrote in Romans 8 verses 38 and 39, "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Paul had faced many things that could have made him feel separated. But he was persuaded that nothing can separate you from God's love.So how do you rest in the security that God will never let you go? First, believe what God says, not what you feel. Your feelings may tell you that God has abandoned you. But His Word says He will never leave you or forsake you. Believe His Word over your feelings.Second, remind yourself of His faithfulness. Look back at your life and see how God has held on to you through every trial, every failure, and every difficult season. He has not let go yet. He will not start now.Third, stop trying to hold on in your own strength. Your grip is weak. His grip is strong. You are not holding on to Him. He is holding on to you. Rest in that truth.Fourth, when you feel distant, draw near to God. James 4 verse 8 says, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." He has not moved. He is right where He has always been. When you take a step toward Him, you will find that He is already there.Fifth, declare your security out loud. Say, "I am held in the hand of God. Nothing can snatch me out. He will never let me go." Speaking this truth strengthens your faith. What this produces in your life is an unshakable security in your relationship with God. When you know that God will never let you go, you can face anything. You do not have to fear failure because your security is not based on your performance. You do not have to fear circumstances because they cannot separate you from His love. You are secure in the hands of the One who holds the universe together.Let us pray. Father, I thank You that You will never let me go. I am held in Your hand. Nothing can snatch me out. My security is not in my ability to hold on to You. It is in Your ability to hold on to me. When I feel weak, You are strong. When I feel distant, You are near. When I fail, Your grace is sufficient. I rest in the security of Your love. I am Yours and You are mine. Nothing can separate me from Your love. In Jesus mighty name, amen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

  • The Blessing of Being in Christ
One of the most profound realities of the Christian life is that you are in Christ. This phrase, "in Christ," appears over and over again in the New Testament. It means that when you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you were united with Him. You are spiritually positioned in Christ. And because you are in Christ, every spiritual blessing is available to you. Ephesians 1 verse 3 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."My dear friend, being in Christ changes everything about your identity, your position, and your inheritance. In Christ, you are forgiven. In Christ, you are righteous. In Christ, you are a new creation. In Christ, you are accepted. In Christ, you have access to God. In Christ, you have every spiritual blessing. Your identity is not based on who you are in yourself. It is based on who you are in Christ.Think about the phrase "in Christ" in the New Testament. In Christ, you have redemption and forgiveness of sins. In Christ, you are made alive. In Christ, you are seated in heavenly places. In Christ, you are created for good works. In Christ, you are brought near to God. In Christ, you are an heir of God. Being in Christ is the most significant reality of your existence.Think about the difference between being in Adam and being in Christ. Romans 5 tells us that in Adam, all die. But in Christ, all are made alive. In Adam, we are condemned. In Christ, we are justified. In Adam, we are separated from God. In Christ, we are reconciled. Your position has completely changed. You are no longer in Adam. You are in Christ.Think about what it means to be in Christ practically. It means that when God looks at you, He sees Christ. Your sins are covered by His blood. His righteousness is credited to your account. You stand before God not in your own merit but in the merit of Christ. This is not just a theological concept. It is the foundation of your confidence before God.So how do you live in the reality of being in Christ? First, understand your position. You are in Christ. You are not striving to get into Christ. You are already there. This is your position. Believe it. Receive it.Second, draw on your resources in Christ. Every spiritual blessing is available to you in Christ. When you need strength, it is in Christ. When you need wisdom, it is in Christ. When you need peace, it is in Christ. You do not have to beg for these things. They are already yours in Christ. Access them by faith.Third, live from your identity, not for your identity. You do not need to earn your identity in Christ. You already have it. Live from the reality of who you are in Christ. You are loved. You are accepted. You are secure. You are righteous. Let your behavior flow from your identity, not the other way around.Fourth, renew your mind to what is true about you in Christ. Your old identity is gone. You are a new creation. But you need to renew your mind to this truth. Meditate on who you are in Christ. Declare it. Believe it.Fifth, give thanks for every blessing you have in Christ. Gratitude opens your heart to receive more of what God has for you. What this produces in your life is confidence, security, and freedom. When you know who you are in Christ, you do not have to strive for acceptance. You are already accepted. You do not have to work for love. You are already loved. You do not have to earn your place. You already have a place. Being in Christ is the greatest privilege in the universe.Let us pray. Father, I thank You that I am in Christ. I am forgiven. I am righteous. I am accepted. I am a new creation. I have every spiritual blessing in Christ. Help me to live in the reality of who I am in Christ. Help me to draw on the resources that are mine in Christ. I do not have to strive for what I already have. I receive it by faith. I am in Christ. That is my identity. That is my security. That is my position. Thank You for the blessing of being in Christ. • The Power of a Soft Answer
There is incredible power in a soft answer. Proverbs 15 verse 1 says, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." The way you respond to conflict, criticism, and provocation determines whether the situation escalates or de-escalates. A soft answer has the power to defuse anger, calm tensions, and open the door for understanding. A harsh word, even if it is true, can ignite a fire that is difficult to extinguish. My dear friend, learning to give a soft answer is a mark of spiritual maturity. Your natural instinct when attacked is to defend yourself, to strike back, and to match anger with anger. But that is the way of the world. The way of the Spirit is to respond with gentleness, grace, and wisdom. A soft answer does not mean being weak or passive. It means being controlled by the Holy Spirit in your responses.Think about Gideon in Judges 8. When the men of Ephraim confronted him angrily, they criticized him for not calling them to battle sooner. They confronted him harshly. Gideon could have responded with harshness. He had every right to defend himself. But instead, Gideon gave a soft answer. He said, "What have I done now in comparison with you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abiezer?" His humble response turned away their anger.Think about Abigail in 1 Samuel 25. David was enraged because Nabal had insulted him. David was on his way to kill Nabal and every male in his household. But Abigail intercepted David and gave a soft answer. She spoke with humility, wisdom, and grace. She took the blame even though she was not at fault. Her soft answer turned away David's wrath. David said, "Blessed is the Lord God of Israel who sent you this day to meet me."Think about Jesus. When He was falsely accused, mocked, beaten, and crucified, He did not respond with harsh words. First Peter 2 verse 23 says, "Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return. When He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously." Jesus gave the ultimate soft answer. He entrusted Himself to the Father and spoke words of forgiveness from the cross. So how do you develop the discipline of a soft answer? First, control your tongue by controlling your heart. A soft answer comes from a heart that is at peace. If your heart is agitated, your words will be harsh. Guard your heart and your tongue will follow.Second, pause before you respond. When someone speaks to you harshly, do not react immediately. Take a breath. Count to three. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you respond with wisdom.Third, speak gently but firmly. A soft answer is not a weak answer. You can be gentle and still be strong. Gentleness is not weakness. It is strength under control.Fourth, choose your words carefully. Proverbs 25 verse 11 says, "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." Choose words that are appropriate for the situation. Words that bring healing. Words that diffuse tension.Fifth, pray for those who speak harshly to you. It is hard to respond harshly to someone you are praying for. Prayer changes your heart toward them. What this produces in your life is peace in your relationships. A soft answer prevents conflicts from escalating. It creates an atmosphere where understanding can grow. It makes you a person who is easy to approach and difficult to argue with. The power of a soft answer is one of the greatest tools for building healthy relationships.Let us pray. Father, give me the grace to give a soft answer. When I am provoked, help me not to react harshly. Help me to pause, to pray, and to respond with gentleness and wisdom. Let my words turn away wrath and bring peace. Help me to be like Jesus, who did not revile in return. Help me to control my tongue by keeping my heart at peace in You. Let my words bring healing and not harm. In Jesus mighty name, amen. • The God Who Goes Before You
One of the most comforting truths in all of Scripture is that God goes before you. He does not just walk with you. He goes ahead of you. Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 says, "And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Do not fear nor be dismayed." When you step into a new season, a new challenge, or an unknown situation, you do not step into it alone. God has already been there. He has already prepared the way.My dear friend, the reason you can have confidence in the face of the unknown is that God has already gone before you. He knows what is ahead. He has already arranged the circumstances. He has already prepared the people you will meet. He has already made provision for every need. He has already planned your steps. Your job is not to figure everything out. Your job is to follow where He leads, trusting that He has already gone before you and prepared the way.Think about the Israelites entering the Promised Land. God did not just tell them to go. He went before them. Deuteronomy 1 verses 30 through 33 say that the Lord went before them in the fire by night and in the cloud by day to show them the way. He went ahead to scout out the land, to find them places to camp, and to show them the path. When they crossed the Jordan River, the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant went first. The waters parted when their feet touched the water. God went before them.Think about Jesus. He has gone before you into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for you. Hebrews 6 verse 20 says, "Where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus." He is your forerunner. He has gone ahead to prepare a place for you. He has blazed the trail. You are following the path He has already cleared.Think about the disciples. When Jesus sent them out two by two, He said in Luke 10 verse 1 that He sent them before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Jesus went first. He prepared the way. The disciples were following where He had already been.So how do you trust that God goes before you? First, acknowledge that God knows what you do not know. You cannot see the future. But God already lives in the future. He has already been where you are going. Trust His knowledge.Second, step out in faith even when you cannot see the path. You do not need to see the whole way. You just need to see the next step. God has already gone before you. He will reveal each step as you take it.Third, do not be afraid of the unknown. Fear comes from uncertainty. But there is no uncertainty with God. He knows everything. He has already prepared everything. You can face the unknown with confidence because the Known One goes before you.Fourth, pray for God to go before you. Before you step into any situation, pray, "Lord, go before me. Prepare the way. Open the doors. Soften the hearts. Make the path straight."Fifth, look for evidence of God going before you. When you see doors opening, when you meet the right people at the right time, when provision comes unexpectedly, recognize that God went before you. What this produces in your life is confidence and peace in the face of the unknown. You do not have to be afraid of what is ahead because God is already there. He has gone before you. He has prepared the way. He will not leave you or forsake you. You can step into your future with boldness because the God who goes before you is with you.Let us pray. Father, I thank You that You go before me. You have already been where I am going. You have prepared the way. You have arranged the circumstances. I do not have to be afraid of the unknown because You already know everything. I trust You to lead me. I step forward in faith, knowing that You have gone before me. Open the doors. Prepare the hearts. Make the path straight. I follow where You lead. In Jesus mighty name, amen. Hosted on Acast. • Doing All Things Through Christ
One of the most quoted verses in the Bible is also one of the most powerful. Philippians 4 verse 13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This verse is not about achieving worldly success or accomplishing your personal goals. It is about the sufficiency of Christ in every circumstance. Paul wrote these words from a prison cell. He was not talking about winning a sports competition or climbing the corporate ladder. He was talking about the ability to face any circumstance through the strength that Christ provides. My dear friend, there will be things in your life that are beyond your natural ability. You will face situations that are too hard, too heavy, and too overwhelming for you to handle in your own strength. In those moments, you have a choice. You can collapse under the weight, or you can draw on the strength of Christ. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Not some things. Not easy things. All things. The strength of Christ is available for every challenge you will ever face.Think about Paul himself. He wrote in Philippians 4 verses 11 and 12 that he had learned to be content in every situation. He knew how to be abased and how to abound. He knew how to be full and how to be hungry. He faced beatings, shipwrecks, imprisonments, and ultimately execution. How did he endure all this? He did it through Christ who strengthened him. Paul did not have natural strength for what he faced. He had supernatural strength.Think about David facing Goliath. David was a young shepherd boy facing a giant warrior who was over nine feet tall and covered in armor. By every natural measure, David should have been crushed. But David did not rely on his own strength. He relied on the strength of the Lord. He said to Goliath, "I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts." And through Christ's strength, David defeated the giant.Think about Samson. When the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, he had supernatural strength to do things that were humanly impossible. He killed a lion with his bare hands. He tore down the gates of Gaza. He killed a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey. Samson's strength was not his own. It was the strength of the Lord. This is a picture of what is available to you through the Holy Spirit. So how do you do all things through Christ who strengthens you? First, acknowledge your weakness. You cannot do all things through Christ until you admit that you cannot do anything without Him. Your weakness is the starting point for His strength. When you are weak, then you are strong.Second, depend on Christ daily. Do not try to live the Christian life in your own strength. Every morning, acknowledge your dependence on Christ. Say, "Lord, I cannot do this day without You. I need Your strength for everything I will face today."Third, draw on the Holy Spirit's power. The Holy Spirit is the source of supernatural strength. When you feel weak, pray in the Spirit. When you are tired, ask the Spirit to refresh you. When you face opposition, ask the Spirit to empower you.Fourth, speak words of faith. Do not say, "I cannot handle this." Say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Your words release your faith. Speak what you believe, not what you feel.Fifth, look back at past victories. Remember the times when Christ strengthened you in the past. Those past victories are evidence that He will strengthen you again. What this produces in your life is the ability to face anything with confidence. You do not have to be afraid of any challenge because you have access to the strength of Christ. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. That power is available for every situation you face. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.Let us pray. Father, I confess that I am weak, but You are strong. I cannot do this life in my own strength. I need Your strength for everything I face. I declare that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I draw on Your strength today. Holy Spirit, empower me. Give me supernatural strength for every challenge. I do not rely on my own ability. I rely on Christ who lives in me. Thank You that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. In Jesus mighty name, amen. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
