Imagine being thrown into net during an NHL game without any warm-up and very little heads up. Our guest, David Ayres, did just that - and won.

Many of you will remember when he took over our hockey news feeds for a short time in 2020 after he stepped into a game for the Carolina Hurricanes as an EBUG. On today’s episode of Our Kids Play Goalie, we dive in deeper beyond that moment and into David’s life as a hockey coach to explore his thoughts on the importance of preparation and a coach's role in achieving that.

Listen to this episode if you want to unlock some incredible insight into what goes on between the pipes. 🥅

Paul Cohen joins us this week to discuss the physical and mental edge that goaltenders need in order to compete in the crease. He gives valuable insight to the position as we discuss how coaches can incorporate goalies more in practice, and thoughts on our favorite debate - should the goal size be adaptive depending on age?

Paul is a former AHL (Champion), ECHL & Div. 1 NCAA goaltender whom today is the head coach of the Puerto Rican Men’s National Team, and is the owner of Ultimate Hockey Fans.

This month's Our Kids Play Goalie is here to “save” 🤦‍♂️ the day.
