Past-Life Regression. This week I am talking to Dr. John Webber about his book 'The Red Chair: When Traditional Psychiatry Is Not Enough, a Psychiatrist and His Patient Discover the Power of Past-Life Regression'.

Psychiatrist John Webber was barely keeping his patient Judy alive. Therapy revealed Judy's irrepressible yet impulsive nature as well as insights into her traumatic past. Traditional treatment - including, psychotherapy, numerous medications, and electroconvulsive therapy - were not working.

Knowing Judy had experienced spiritual phenomena when near death, they decided to challenge the boundaries of Western medicine by trying hypnosis and past-life regression.

I have spent years studying and learning about the human mind, emotions, and spirituality. I started with myself, and then applied what I understood to my professional life. Isn't 'dead' a harsh way of referring to those we have loved, but whose time in this physical world has come to an end? Of course it is… and the title of this book is intended to be a little tongue-in-cheek! Meanings of the word dead include, "no longer living, deprived of life, lifeless"; however, anyone who has ever experienced even the briefest of connections with a loved one who has - how shall we say it? - gone ahead, will know that those descriptions have nothing to do with human souls! After all, how can something that is 'lifeless' communicate with us? How can it be sensed, and felt? The answer is, it can't. Only something that is life-filled can do those things. Just because one physical journey has come to a conclusion, it doesn't mean that the story is over. A page, maybe… but definitely not the whole story.

However, in this book, the term 'dead' doesn't just refer to those souls we have known, loved, and lost. Connections are sometimes made with souls we have never met… and, of course, it wouldn't make sense not to talk about spirit guides!

Multiple Near-Death Experiences. This week I am talking to David Wallace about his book 'The Journey of Our Souls: What You Can Learn From One Man's Multiple Near-Death Experiences'.

This week I am talking to Terri-Ann Russell about her book 'From Death To Life: The Incredible True Story of Anthony Joseph'.

In July of 2019, Anthony “Ant” Joseph died from an unexpected medical complication. As quickly as he left his earthly body, he “returned” from the spirit world with knowledge and information to share with his mother, Terri-Ann, about where he was, what he was doing, and how humanity can learn to connect with loved ones in spirit. Anthony’s message is that he still exists and is very much a part of the world. He is connected on a soul level, a bond which could not be broken even after he left his physical body. Distressing Near-Death Experience. This week I am talking to MK McDaniel about her book 'Misfit in Hell to Heaven Expat: Lessons from a Dark Near-Death Experience and How to Avoid Hell in the Afterlife'.

Placed on a ventilator for lung failure in 1999, M.K. McDaniel fought for her life in a drug-induced coma for three weeks. Misfit In Hell To Heaven Expat is based on a story of M.K.’s experiences before, during, and after a Dark Near-Death Experience. Near-Death Experience. This week I am talking to Dr Joanne Coyle about her book 'Showing Us the Way Home: The Gift of Near-Death Experiences'.

Dr Joanne Coyle (PhD) was an academic researcher until something happened to change her life. She read a book, or rather two books - Anita Moorjani’s Dying to be Me, and Dr Eben Alexander’s Proof of Heaven. Both telling the story of their near death experience (NDE).

As a researcher, she had interviewed thousands of patients and heard incredibly moving poignant stories about illness and resilience, life and death. Her job was to analyse and summarise these accounts, then present them to health care conferences and workshops. She also wrote numerous articles for academic journals. But she always felt these stories deserved a much wider audience, and could help many more people. Perhaps at the back of her mind was the seed - that one day she would help individuals tell their life changing stories to the world to benefit others.

When she came across Anita’s and Eben’s stories, she began to seriously investigate NDEs and other spiritually transcendent experiences (STEs) as a personal quest. She followed every lead she could on the internet and even went to America to speak with NDErs first-hand. Then something very strange happened. One day while browsing a second hand bookshop in St Andrews, Scotland, she came across an old tattered book called Twelve Scots Trials. She let the book fall open and she read about a murder trial that took place in 18th century Scotland, some twenty years after Culloden. She just knew something was terribly wrong, and the events couldn’t have happened the way they’d been recorded. Every time she thought about the people and the trial she got this knot in her solar plexus. Was there a serious miscarriage of justice? Her gut or rather her soul was telling her there was, and she had to retell the story in a very different way. So, she did – she wrote and self published ‘Deadly Love’, and to her utter amazement it became an Amazon best seller.

So after twenty-five years of writing for academics and experts, she began writing for a wider audience. She continued investigating near-death experiences from around the world. She found that you don’t have to have an NDE for it to change your life. Simply reading about them is profoundly healing, because it lessens our fear of death, allowing us to live more full authentic lives, and be our true selves. This, she believes serves an even greater purpose, which she shares in her latest book Showing Us the Way Home.
