Malcolm James McCormick — aka Mac Miller — was born on January 19, 1992. He began making music at a young age and by fifteen was already releasing mixtapes. One of the first true viral superstars, his early records earned him a rabid legion of die-hard fans — as well as a few noteworthy detractors. But despite his undeniable success, Miller was plagued by struggles with substance abuse and depression, both of which fueled his raw and genre-defying music yet ultimately led to his demise.
Traveling deep into Miller’s inner circle, behind the curtain, the velvet ropes, and studio doors, Most Dope tells the story of a passionate, gifted young man who achieved his life’s ambition, only to be undone by his personal demons. It is part love letter, part cautionary tale — never shying away from the raw, visceral way Mac Miller lived his life.

This week Tom & Zeus discuss KISS bootlegs and the infamous and controversial KISSVision with one of the integral parts of the story, Roy Damm. Since KISS is the most visual band and the KISS Army couldn't get enough of the band, many turned towards a series of bootleg VHS/DVDs called KISSVision. These were high quality videos that were sold as bootlegs. Roy Damm details his involvement with KISSVision, the controversy with the band, including lawsuits and more.
This is a unique and incredible story about a part of KISStory that is seldom told.

In this episode, Rich and Clint ask the age old question — would you be Elton John (the star in the spotlight) or Bernie Taupin (the artist behind the scenes)? Lots of laughs, lots of incredible music and enlightening discussion about an odd and incredible collaboration that has produced some of the greatest songs in music history. Rich and Clint also discuss a similar songwriting partnership, Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter. This week’s guests Brian Chartrand and Greg Naughton (The Sweet Remains) and star of “America Song Contest” Josh Panda.

Finally, the Songfacts Podcast is here to talk about Dylan! There is no better person to guide us through this episode than Dr. Stephen Arnoff, who is the author of the new book, About Man And God And Law, available via E-book now and hard copy on May 3, 2022.
Dr. Arnoff, who also hosts a podcast by the same name, takes a unique look at Dylan and his works. We discuss how one line from "Maggie's Farm" led to so much more, and also get into the deeper meaning of songs like "Blind Willie McTell" and "Like a Rolling Stone."
As a longtime Dylan fan I'm very excited to present this conversation.
