This month's Babysode is all about hyping you up! Kaila asked the question, "What is something that you're proud of lately?" on Instagram and OKAY y'all almost had the mom in tears! Listeners really showed out and shared wonderful things from their lives that they are (rightfully so) damn proud of. Kaila and Jimmy read these wonderful little morsels of pride, while also honoring the honesty that comes with being able to vocalize the fact that it's hard to be proud of oneself, and sometimes, you just aren't feeling it.

On this week's episode of Parent Tell, Kaila has an extremely fulfilling discussion with Sharon Silver, a parent educator with a world of experience on boundary setting, re-parenting, and proactive parenting. It's an episode where a Boomer and a Millennial lovingly collide to discuss why parenting can be so GD triggering, why it's so important for parents to educate themselves on how best to reach their children, and why it's okay to be screaming on the inside during one of your kiddo's tantrums as long as you're keeping it as zen as possible on the outside.

This week's episode of Parent Tell discusses vaginal birth after cesarean, or VBAC. Kaila talks with Dr. Katie Bayer, her new local friend (celebrating this because we all know how hard it is to make friends as an adult, okay) and physical therapist who specializes in the pelvic floor. Katie tells the story of her first birth, a cesarean to welcome her twin girls into the world, which then led her to a VBAC experience with her second pregnancy. The two moms talk about the emotions that are behind the decision to attempt a VBAC as well as the history of cesareans in the US, and how they are hopeful that the trends lately are leading us toward listening to the birthing person's choices, seeing them as individuals when it comes to birth options, and normalizing the pursuit of pregnancy and postpartum knowledge.

Parent Tell is BACK, BABY, and this week's episode is all about teens. Those youths with their collagen filled skin, fast metabolisms, and still evolving brains which can often lead to terrible decision making. *Cue you flashing back to your teen years*
Kaila talks with Tamara Zoner, a speaker, coach, and certified happiness trainer who helps people create lives they love by teaching them the skills and habits of happiness so that they can lower stress & increase joy! She's also a single mom to 3 teenagers who still love to hang out with her. And if that last sentence doesn't make you want to bow down to this mom of THREE simultaneous teenagers then nothing will.
Kaila and Tamara have an honest and hilarious conversation about the fact that babies don't stay babies forever, boundaries are still crucial for older kiddos, and that we cannot make any of this sh*t happen unless we continue to put ourselves first and take meticulous care of ourselves. That's the only way a parent of hormonally charged teenagers is gonna make it in this world.

This week on Parent Tell Kaila relives her Disney Family Trip with the person who will understand the most, Lee Friedman of Mango Tree Travel. Lee is a mom of two and a travel planner! She started Mango Tree Travel with the intent on making travel enjoyable for parents too, not just kids. Travel is a wonderful escape, learning opportunity, and privilege but parents often lose the chance to travel like they did in the pre-kid days. Both Kaila and Lee firmly believe that travel does not stop just because they are now parents. The two moms discuss this, why traveling is important for a growing kiddo, and ways to plan a trip that maximizes both little and big people enjoyment.

This month's Babysode is about Jimmy and Kaila's family trip to a certain magical place that all started with a mouse....if you catch our drift (just really not trying to be sued but let's just say his name rhymes with Schmickey Schmouse). During this long-ish Babysode, Jimmy and Kaila discuss what went right and wrong with their trip and why they're looking forward to going back when Robin is older and can wipe his own butt.

This week on Parent Tell Kaila sat down with Roxana, a mom to a beautiful baby girl and also the skilled esthetician who waxes Kaila's caterpillar eyebrows every month. The two moms became fast friends after bonding over how freaking stressful it was to name their children, and so that's what this juicy episode entails. Roxana and Kaila talk at length about the pressures they felt to to name (or in some cases, NOT name) their babies a certain name, why naming an entire human being gives them the anxiety sweats, how growing up with an often mispronounced name effects the thoughts that go into naming your own kiddo, and how important it is to put some respect on a person's name and get.it.right.

Content Warning: this episode contains discussions of miscarriage and baby loss
This week on Parent Tell Kaila had the honor to talk with Rhiannon, a friend of Kaila's good friend, about rainbow pregnancies, rainbow babies, and riding out the waves of grief as they come amidst the joy of a rainbow baby. For those who haven't yet guessed it or are unaware, a rainbow baby is the term for a baby born after experiencing a loss. The rainbow after the storm clouds, so to speak.
Rhiannon was kind enough to share her miscarriage and rainbow pregnancy experiences with Kaila and the two moms talk at length about the anxiety that naturally comes with being pregnant after loss, how many pregnant people choose to wait longer before sharing their news, as well as why we all just have to keep sharing our stories to de-stigmatize "uncomfortable" topics and continue to carve that safe space for ourselves and others.
