This Diva Hall of Fame entry is a Cool Down Mix of Madonna material from 2008, assembled as a chill, genre-spanning set of house, urban, trip-hop, and electronic reinterpretations. Created originally for a 50th birthday benefit, the mix collects extended club versions and downtempo remixes to spotlight the producers and DJs who reshaped Madonna’s catalog for the dancefloor and late-night listening.

Highlights include club edits and signature remixes such as Vogue (12"), Like a Prayer (12" Dance Mix), Deeper and Deeper (Shep’s Classic 12"), Bedtime Story (Junior’s Wet Dream Mix), American Life (Oakenfold Downtempo Remix), Get Together (Jacques Lu Cont Mix) and Groove Armada’s take on Music. The set moves from classic house to more experimental textures — even nods toward early dubstep and trip-hop — showing why Madonna consistently surrounds herself with adventurous remix talent.

Originally a pair of handmade CDs created for a friend, this two-hour mix is presented here as a curated cooldown companion to the longer Meltdown Mix that follows on the site.
