  • Perspective Points #31 - Lessons That Changed My Life in 9 Months

On this week’s episode of Perspective Points, I took a moment to acknowledge just how much my life has changed in the past 9 months. In particular, I go over 5 guiding principles that helped propel me to start making decisions that would help me become the person I always talked about becoming and to start doing the things I always dreamt of doing. Physically, mentally, and emotionally, I can happily say that I have never felt more grateful to be in the position I am in right now. A massive thank you to every single one of you who has supported me along the way.

Ranging from topics like personal experiences and the lessons I have learned from them to general discussion about one's purpose, I want this to be a place where not only myself, but anyone can share their perspective on what is meaningful in their life.

  • Perspective Points #30 - Acknowledging Opportunity with Matt Johnson

On this week’s episode of Perspective Points, Matt Johnson and I discussed how some of the most meaningful opportunities that shape our lives are those we did not plan for. Matt, an endurance athlete phenom, is preparing to do something like no other and complete four 100-mile ultramarathons in four simultaneous months. His mindset is simple: If I have the chance to do it, why not? Link in bio to listen to the full episode and hear more about what Matt and I have to say about rewriting one’s own history and taking advantage of the opportunities we did not plan for.

  • Perspective Points #29 - Valuing Greatness Over Being the Best

On this week’s episode of Perspective Points, I go over the difference between valuing being the best at something versus prioritizing greatness. As I continue to grow up and live my life, I am constantly working on focusing on defining what the word "great" means to me as a student, business owner, athlete, and human being. As opposed to being caught up with the comparison to those around me, I want to improve on focusing on my own journey and celebrating every aspect of it, no matter what the achievements or experiences may entail.

On this week’s episode of Perspective Points, I had the pleasure of talking with my coach Dustin Wilson as we went over how we became connected, what our strategy was for preparing for my first powerlifting meet, and what it means to join the culture of the sport. My experience preparing for my first powerlifting meet was full of experiences and lessons I am grateful for. However, what I felt most shaped my 5-week training block was the community of individuals I was welcomed by and the uplifting culture I became a part of.

Coming off of competing in his first bodybuilding show and now preparing for a marathon, Sean spoke about the "work hard" mentality that he has embodied from a young age. However, Sean shared how this mindset would not have developed and shaped his outlook on life without the experiences he endured on his path to finding his core values and staying true to them every day.
