• After decades of talks, Camp Laughing Waters in western Montgomery County is permanently protected from development, preserving more than 450-acres in an area seeing rapid development.
• SEPTA is advising customers that changes to most regional rail schedules started on Sunday. Riders are encouraged to check the schedules for new departure and arrival times.

• MOM CHARGED WITH MURDER: A West Philadelphia mother is facing murder charges in connection with the disappearance of her 4-year-old son, Damari Carter. Investigators questioned 28-year-old Dominique Bailey on Thursday. Authorities say, she told family her son was hit and killed by a car ... after she had reported him missing to police.
• IMPALED WOMAN DEAD: Saturday morning, police found a woman impaled and hanging from the iron gates near Xfinity Live at the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Officials say the 48-year-old woman had injuries on both her legs and feet. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators tell NBC10 they do not believe foul play was involved.
• FIRST STORM OF 2024: It started with snow and ended with rain in Philadelphia and most of the suburbs, as the year’s first winter storm came with a lot of hype and left behind little more than wet roads and slush. KYW’s Nigel Thompson tracked how travel looked on the roads and in the air.
• A.C. WATER ADVISORY: Atlantic City and the Municipal Utility Authority are asking residents to drink bottled water or bring tap water to a boil for one minute and let it cool before drinking or using to cook. City officials are hoping the advisory will be lifted before the end of the weekend. It's been in effect for all residents since Friday.
• THREE KINGS DAY: The Christmas Holy Season ended Saturday with the Feast of the Epiphany and the celebration of Three Kings Day. KYW’s Hadas Kuznits attended a community party for the holiday in Camden.

• Snow removal crews in the region are poised at the ready waiting for whatever Mother Nature brings our way this weekend. KYW Newsradio’s John McDevitt reports.
• Officials in Atlantic City, New Jersey have issued a boil water advisory due to cloudiness in water at the treatment plant that could indicate the presence of disease-causing micro-organisms.

• The limited launch of the revamped federal financial aid application is causing angst among hopeful college students and their parents. KYW Newsradio education reporter Mike DeNardo has the details. 
• This liquor legislation provides the relief brewery owners have been pleading for, ending restrictions on most events, allowing them to serve other non-alcoholic beverages, and giving them the ability to coordinate with food vendors. KYW Newsradio's Mike Dougherty has details.

• Four of the bills passed by Philadelphia City Council last month will not become law because Mayor Jim Kenney failed to sign them before leaving office.
• Some health facilities across our region are starting to beef up their masking protocols as more cases of COVID-19, the flu and RSV are being reported.
• A family in the Phoenixville Area School District has filed a complaint with the Office of Civil Rights, claiming the school is violating Title IX by not properly funding or supporting girls’ sports.

• Six days after a hit-and-run crash that left a 25-year-old woman in critical condition, police have made headway in finding the car and driver involved. KYW’s Hadas Kuznits has more.
• Main Line Health is requiring masks at all of its locations because of the high number of RSV, COVID-19 and flu cases across the region. KYWs Tim Jimenez has more from Bryn Mawr.
• Police are investigating a home invasion. According to investigators, three men broke into a home on West Olney Avenue, tied up two men with zip-ties, and searched the home for about a half-hour before fleeing.
• New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy says the Garden State hit a gun violence milestone last year, with fewer than 1,000 shootings.
