• Less than a year after reaching the Super Bowl, the Eagles are now left searching for answers. They lost to Tampa 32-9 in the wild-card round of the playoffs. 
• Philadelphia police are investigating after someone spray-painted a swastika on a building next to the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza in Center City.
• President Joe Biden and Mayor Cherelle Parker spent part of MLK Day together packing boxes of food at Philabundance. It was the third time since the 2020 election that the president visited the South Philadelphia food bank for the holiday. 
• With the snow that we got last night, AAA Mid-Atlantic is urging drivers to keep a snow emergency kit in their trunks. And if you already have one, make sure it's stocked.

• It is the 29th annual Martin Luther King Day of Service in the Philadelphia region. Once again, Girard College is a hub for a lot of service projects taking place today. KYW's Tim Jimenez was there.
• Septa says "contactless" fare payments are slowly catching on. We get the story from KYW's Mike DeNardo.
• It's now or never for the Eagles. KYW's Dave Uram previews tonight's playoff game against the Bucs. The winner of tonight's game will visit the Lions on Sunday in the divisional round of the playoffs.

• At least two people are dead, and four others are injured, after a mass shooting Sunday morning at a suspected illegal underground bar in a North Philadelphia neighborhood.
• One of the hardest tasks confronting every new Philadelphia mayor is devising their first budget to present to City Council just two months into their term. Mayor Cherelle Parker faces an extra challenge this year.

• He turned his life around after a life of violence and crime, and on this MLK Day, he’s one of the many leaders in the city who will be dedicating time to service.

The KYW Newsradio All-Local for Sunday, Dec. 14, 2024 (Midday Edition):

• A mass shooting at an illegal speakeasy in a North Philadelphia neighborhood Sunday morning killed two people and injured four others. Police say they think the gunfire came in through the front windows and door from someone outside.
• Philadelphia police say 55-year-old Brian Howard Lloyd was hit and killed while crossing North Broad Street at Poplar Street around 6 a.m. Saturday. Police say a black SUV, possibly a Porsche, traveling northbound on Broad Street, hit Lloyd in the crosswalk. The driver of the SUV continued north on Broad. 
• SARS-Cov-2 continues to mutate. A Philadelphia expert says staying current on COVID-19 vaccination should protect you from severe illness.
• What's in a name? Ask the Kimmel Cultural Campus, which just changed its name to Ensemble Arts Philly.

• There's been a mass shooting in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia at a residence police say was being used as a speakeasy. Six people were shot. Two of them were killed.
• A tribute was held Saturday at Ivy Hill Cemetery for Joseph Augustus Zarelli, the child who — until a little more than a year ago — was known as the Boy In The Box.
• A woman and a toddler were killed early Saturday morning when their car struck a tree in Valley Forge Park. Upper Merion police say the car veered off the road near the intersection of Route 23 and County Line Road shortly after 1 a.m. 
• Police are looking for the driver responsible for striking and killing a 55-year-old man in North Philadelphia. Officials say Brian Howard Lloyd was crossing North Broad Street at Poplar Street, using a walker, around 6 a.m. Saturday morning, when a black SUV, possibly a Porsche, hit him in the crosswalk.
• Virtua Health is offering a new procedure, focused on the connection between the brain and the kidneys, to help people with problems regulating their blood pressure. 
• Many people know the Kimmel Cultural Campus as the centerpiece of the Avenue of the Arts, but you won’t see that name anymore. From now on, it will be called Ensemble Arts Philly.

• The Philadelphia area woke up to more rain Saturday morning. We've faced a couple of major storms this week, and that's made our area especially vulnerable to flooding, power outages, and overall hazardous conditions. KYW Newsradio's Vik Raghupathi has more.

• President Biden will once again observe Martin Luther King Day with a service event in Philadelphia on Monday. For the third time since his 2020 election, the president will be volunteering at Philabundance.

• Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the arrests of two people in connection with a 2022 mass shooting in Kensington that left nine people injured. KYW Newsradio's Conner Barkon reports.

• It was another week of violence for SEPTA. Police are trying to figure out why a teenager opened fire, critically wounding a 16-year-old. KYW Newsradio's Mike DeNardo reports.

• The Horsham woman accused of killing her son with a belt then driving her SUV in the ocean was in court Friday, with trial just a few weeks out. Here’s KYW Newsradio Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert.

• Philadelphia police are combing through surveillance video of the shooting Thursday night on a Center City SEPTA platform that left a 16-year-old in critical condition. Two people have been arrested in connection. 
• While residents are still recovering from Tuesday's wicked storm, Burlington County has declared a countywide emergency ahead of another storm expected Friday night. 
• A worker at an Olive Garden in Deptford, New Jersey, tested positive for hepatitis A. Health officials are warning those who dined at the establishment between Dec. 26 and 30 to get vaccinated if they haven't already.
•  Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner announced charges against two suspects in the 2022 mass shooting in Kensington that left nine people injured.
• There aren’t many places at 30th Street Station these days for hungry travelers to get a bite to eat. The entire south side of the building — the side with all the restaurants — has been walled off for renovations since the beginning of the year.

• We aren't done with severe weather this week just yet. Round 2 starts tonight. The most intense part of this next storm is expected to last from around 10 p.m. until about 4 a.m. Saturday.
• A 16-year-old boy was shot in the head on a SEPTA subway platform in Center City Thursday night.
• Detectives in Bucks County say they’ve cracked a cold-case murder, charging a 50-year-old Philadelphia man with murder, rape and kidnapping in a 2013 home invasion and fatal stabbing.
