- There's been a mass shooting in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia at a residence police say was being used as a speakeasy. Six people were shot. Two of them were killed.
- A tribute was held Saturday at Ivy Hill Cemetery for Joseph Augustus Zarelli, the child who — until a little more than a year ago — was known as the Boy In The Box.
- A woman and a toddler were killed early Saturday morning when their car struck a tree in Valley Forge Park. Upper Merion police say the car veered off the road near the intersection of Route 23 and County Line Road shortly after 1 a.m.
- Police are looking for the driver responsible for striking and killing a 55-year-old man in North Philadelphia. Officials say Brian Howard Lloyd was crossing North Broad Street at Poplar Street, using a walker, around 6 a.m. Saturday morning, when a black SUV, possibly a Porsche, hit him in the crosswalk.
- Virtua Health is offering a new procedure, focused on the connection between the brain and the kidneys, to help people with problems regulating their blood pressure.
- Many people know the Kimmel Cultural Campus as the centerpiece of the Avenue of the Arts, but you won’t see that name anymore. From now on, it will be called Ensemble Arts Philly.
