Finally, we’re shifting focus to the NFL Draft, by first taking a look at what the Steelers needs are.

Joe Kuzma welcomes back Ron Lippock of the Pittsburgh Sports Daily Bulletin, who feels Pittsburgh only has about five “real” needs they should draft for.

The duo will discuss those positional groups, while looking at other areas on the depth chart, to best project how the Steelers picks will go down when we come to the end of April.

Some of Steelers Nation feel that the Steelers have done nothing since the free agency period started over a week ago.

Well, I’ve got news for yinz: “doing nothing” is actually “doing something” too!

Brian E. Roach rejoins Joe Kuzma to talk action, inaction, Steelers signings, and even a few strange free agent moves from around the league.

We also think the Steelers did okay with what few signings they have made, and consider another high-profile player to be welcome under a specific set of circumstances.

Terry Fletcher has finally returned to the Steel City Underground Podcast to join Joe Kuzma, as the two share some stories which have developed since they last met.

Rob also shares his thoughts on Ben Roethlisberger’s future, and whether or not the QB should still be considered “elite”.

There was much made about Pittsburgh not “having another threat” alongside Antonio Brown, who was just signed to a mega-deal that will make him a Steeler for life. Now everyone is asking, who steps up beside AB?

Ironically, this wasn’t a big question last offseason: why was that?

Maybe it’s because the Steelers already had the best laid plans for that Number Two pass-catcher, and those plans fell apart.

But does that mean they “must” add another piece this offseason? And if they do, is that piece named Brandon Marshall?

The Steelers finally make the moves you’d think fans would want, and there’s… backlash???

Not surprising. I swear some people on social media only want to hear themselves talk.

Yet, I have to have a show to debunk Antonio Brown’s “decline”, Bell’s “injury history” or why James Harrison is playing “two more years”. There’s also this little thing about how the Steelers didn’t plan to have other players around AB, which is also total nonsense.

The moves the Steelers made throughout this week have solidified their team for years to come, all while we celebrate Big Ben’s 35th birthday.

I’m so sick of hearing how the New England Patriots groom quarterbacks for other teams. It’s not only dishonest, but it’s not a situation you want in Pittsburgh.

Yet, that hasn’t stopped Steelers Nation from DEMANDING a quarterback be taken in this year’s NFL Draft.

But should they? Is it time to draft Big Ben’s replacement?

Brian Roach joins the show, as we continue to breakdown the backup quarterback situation behind Ben Roethlsiberger. We discuss that the Steelers have more pressing needs than quarterback, and how taking a QB this year could be a big mistake down the road.
