Pittsburgh Steelers Podcast | Steel City Underground

On this edition of the Steel City Underground Podcast, Joe and Zach take digs at the blunders that are mock drafts.

While some of the “experts” are on the mark with their assessment of the Steelers needs and potential fits, there are some woefully bad selections mixed in, as well as some awful fan takes.

They’ll also take a look at how plausible some of these scenarios are from a realistic perspective and why most of the picks aren’t always a laughing matter.

Joe and Zach take a look at the Steelers upcoming draft by analyzing their draft position and what areas of the team are priorities based on each pick.

Does Pittsburgh select an offensive player with their first pick for the first time since David DeCastro in 2012? Or will they continue loading up the defense?

Needs to win now plus building for the future are all taken into consideration in one of our last shows leading up to the 2020 NFL Draft.

Brian E. Roach, the “Host Who Still Doesn’t Like Toast”, is joined by the “Professor of Football” Zach Metkler as the duo will discuss all things running back heading into this year’s NFL Draft.

Do the Steelers need to look at selecting a running back in this draft? What are the chances that running back is the target in round 2 or 3?

The hosts answer that and more burning questions such as the who, what, where and why… and maybe even “how” they Steelers address this position for 2020 in the latest Steel City Underground podcast.

This episode’s topic is going to sound absolutely bonkers, but bear with us: the Steelers 2016 draft class (which is now entirely gone) made some lasting impressions on the organization.

It’s not the show you might expect, as Joe and Zach talk about how each of that year’s draft picks made an impact, positively or negatively, on how the current Steelers defense came to be.

Joe and Brian are back with a potpourri of a podcast, this time looking at several storylines which have surfaced from various sources throughout Steelers Nation.

The duo get into their “Duel Opinions” on a variety of matters, including how Kevin Colbert created cap space this offseason, how the offense might be impacted by coaching changes, and whether they feel “comfortable” with the team’s backup quarterbacks (and how they don’t feel as comfortable with some of suggested signings such as Jameis Winston!)

A few more burning questions are addressed including Big Ben, James Conner, and how many games we could see the Steelers win in 2020.
