Everything You Need To Know About Amazon Post

In this week’s episode, Krista Rinehart, one of Turnkey’s Client Managers, talks about the basic hacks to growing brand awareness and sales through Amazon posts.

Why should you use Amazon Posts?

Amazon posts provides an excellent platform for sellers to not only promote their products, but to also share engaging content that tells their brand story. This is a great way to showcase customer photos and build social proof.

Amazon posts are essentially a mini Instagram on Amazon. Sellers can find it in their storefront, on their own listing, and sometimes on their competitors’ listing. Here is what it looks like:

Before sellers begin creating their post, make sure they check the following requirements:

    1. Image size: 640 x 320 px or larger
    2. Aspect ratio: Between 1:2 and 2:1
    3. File format: JPG or PNG
    4. Color format: RGB

Also consider the following when designing Amazon Post.

      1. Lifestyle Images
      2. Strong Captions
      3. Tag Multiple Products
      4. Instagram Content
      5. The primary objective here is to increase customer retention with their Amazon brand followers. By creating Amazon Posts now, they can develop their brand loyalists and be in a better position to manage their customer engagement with Amazon.

Trying to figure out how to do product research?

When it comes to analyzing ecommerce markets, there’s one thing that matters the most.

            It’s a product/market fit.

Don’t get too caught up on specific products, it’s the product research niche that you need to key in on for your winning product.

You don’t want to spend money and time on a product that no one or very few people want. That is why keyword research is a good idea.

Demand alone isn’t enough. You need to make sure that your niche has a marketing opportunity for your online business.

In this episode with Jon Tilley of Zonguru, let’s talk more about finding amazing product opportunities, analyzing your market and the best approach when you want to expand your Amazon business internationally.

New Brand Analytics search dashboards are now available
              • There are two new Brand Analytics search dashboards, Search Catalog Performance and Search Query Performance. These two new dashboards give you new views into your customers’ shopping funnels and the top queries relevant to your brand.
              • The Search Catalog Performance dashboard provides a comprehensive product view of key shopping metrics such as impressions, clicks, cart adds, and purchases.
              • The Search Query Performance dashboard answers the question, “what queries led customers to my product?” and includes Brand and ASIN level performance for each query.
              • For each term it will break down the following:
                • Query Volume
                • Impressions
                • Clicks
                • Add to Carts
                • Purchases
                • Helps you determine what terms are converting for you the best not only for the PPC side of things but also organically

For each product it will have the following:
                  • Impressions
                  • Clicks
                  • Add to Carts
                  • Purchases
                  • This can really help on the conversion side of things, you can see how many people added the product to the cart and how many actually led to a purchase. Based on this you can decide if your listing is enticing enough.

Supply Chain Issues are on the rise for those selling physical products. This can lead to tons of issues including being sold out on Amazon for long periods of time.

For those of you in that situation, you are able to take Amazon Pre Orders, here is how you do it:
                    • Create an FBM listing for your product (if you do not already have one)
                    • You will then edit the listing to go to the back end
                    • And then set an “Offer Start Date”
                    • Here are some things to keep in mind when using Amazon Pre Orders :
                      • The preorder date must be 30 days or less from the time you are setting it
                      • The preorder date is not flexible so once you set the date you need to make sure you can hit the actual date, if you are not 100% you should not use pre orders
                      • With this feature you will be able to get in stock faster and as a result get sales coming in faster

Amazon Prime Day is the retailer’s biggest traffic event of the summer, essentially Christmas in July. If you’re looking for inspiration on how to make the most of Prime Day 2022, check out our April Roundtable!

                        Prime Dates to Know
                        • April 29th- All Lightning Deals must be scheduled
                        • June 10th- All Coupon Clippings must be scheduled
                          • To schedule a coupon clipping please use the placeholder dates 9/14/22-9/17/22
                          • Amazon then will adjust the coupon clipping to the Prime Day dates
                          • The coupon must be 20% off in order to qualify
                          • Two Weeks Prior to Prime Day- Prime Exclusive Discount must be scheduled
                            • Sometime this month you will start to see a box that asks “Is this a Prime Day Discount?”
                            • The discount must be 20% off in order to qualify
                            • June 20th- All FBA Inventory must be checked in
                            • Prime Day
                              • TurnKey does not know when Prime Day is but our assumption is it will either fall at the end of June or the second week of July
                              • You still have plenty of time to get ready with PPC, but here are the items to consider:
                                • Increase campaign budgets to ensure our best performing campaigns and brand defense last throughout Prime Day
                                • Increase PPC & DSP bids on best performing targets. Auction competition increases on these days!
                                • Full funnel approach to maximize exposure – we will implement medium-risk and upper funnel targets for products you are running promotions on – the increased urgency make prime day conversion rates higher than typical shopping days.
                                • DSP – from the influx of shopping activity on prime day we will likely see larger retargeting audiences the following 30 days and we will scale bids and budgets to make the most of the larger audiences.
