In this episode, we talk to Listener Melanie. Several weeks ago, Melanie sent us an email...complete with a spreadsheet...outlining the ways she felt we may have mischaracterized Summerset as a Dick.

It was a really interesting conversation, and Melanie made several really good points about both Summerset and Eve's behavior in the early books. We may not have agreed with all her points, but we concede that both Summerset and Eve are dicks. The end.

At about 30 minutes in, Tara has a bit of a Tornado scare, but it ends up being a false alarm, thank goodness.

At the end of the episode, we ask Melanie the listener questions, and find out some really interesting things about her.

Overall, we really enjoyed this discussion, and we tell Melanie that she is welcome back on the show any time.

In this episode, we take a look at the contentious relationship with her vehicles.

In discussing this topic, we've decided our new head canon is that Roarke keeps a mechanic on site, in an apartment in his garage. I mean...why not?

Eve's main problem is that she is one of those people that doesn't want new things because she's already used to the things she has, and doesn't want to have to go through the trouble to get used to something new. This is generally how Eve lives her whole life.

Luckily for Eve, in "Promises in Death," Roarke finally gives her the DLE Urban, and now she has her own brand-new car so she doesn't have to worry for a while about losing a car and having to get used to a new one all over again.

BUT... Is the DLE a Sedan or a SUV? Let us know your thoughts!

Hey, Everyone! This episode was a mess! We recorded about an hour at first without realizing we weren't recording!!! So, what you will hear this week is a "Take Two."

As with our episode where we reviewed "Encore in Death," with this one, if you haven't read that book yet, you might want to wait to listen to this episode because the book will DEFINITELY be ruined for you.

One really weird feature of the reviews for this book is that we don't just have negativity with 1, 2 and 3 star reviews, we have it with 4 and 5 star reviews as well! So many people wanting to make sure everyone knew that the reviewer has read EVERY book in this series and/or has read Nora/JD for 30 years. We've decided that they all for some reason want a medal for this?

As Tara might say, Congratufuckinglations.
