Hershall, I did my level best to straighten out the employees (unpaid) of Pod'N Me (big word meaning junk pile). It was to little avail (big word meaning work). We did manage to have some very hard topics brought up in the course of conversation. Among those were: the pronunciation of tortillas, a bit of Spanish from the Deacon, a harrowing (a big word with meaning unknown to the editor) tale of a poor vacuum cleaner sales person. We also talked some very current events and learned one of the signs that a new pope has been elected.... Dink brought the news and we crashed this plane with a "Name that Tune" segment.

Hershall, this is once again a historic (big word meaning horrific) day for Pod'N Me. As you very well know, this program has been built on the reliability and consistency of the perfect attendance of me, the virtual pastor. I am freely admitting my fallibility (big word meaning tendency to make a mistake). I was not able to attend the service here today and we have on our hands a situation where the inmates are running the prison so to speak. Our virtual Songleader Brad and our beloved virtual Deacon Dustin came to the church service because as they say... the show must go on. Hersh, I don't want to alarm you but it seems that they decided to talk about all the things that they knew would not be to my preference, had I been in attendance. After reviewing their work, I decided to let it stand on it's own merits. So proceed with caution. Among the subjects discussed was: politics, sports, conspiracy theories, education, vaccines.... etc.

Hersh, we did something different than we've ever done... we recorded in two locations. When our guest and I sat down to record at another location (Gilbertown, AL), we had some technical issues and couldn't finish the episode. So, we recorded the intro and the final part in studio 4 with our virtual Songleader and Virtual Deacon being present... well, you'll see. 

There have been a few times over the history of this podcast that I could feel the presence of the Lord during the recording process. Today was definitely one of those days. We have on Pod'N Me Rev. Scott Sumner of Christ Cares Ministries. His family has been missionaries for many years to the country of Honduras. You can hear the true passion in his voice as he shares some very special experiences that have taken place in their ministry. The greatest take away for me was when Rev. Sumner shared how one particular verse in the Word of God has ministered to their family for many years. That verse is Isaiah 41:10.

Hershall, we could be embarking (big word sounding like a contemplative dog, but meaning about to start) on one of the most random and possibly the most detrimental (big word meaning hazardous and harmful) episodes ever on Pod'N Me. Things got so out of hand by the end of the episode that our very own beloved Deacon Dustin actually walked off the set.  (Programming Note: The Pod'N Me Corporation is in negotiations -big word but who's counting- with him to see if he'll consider staying on with the Songleader and the disciple whom everybody loves, should the decide to  lay low on their constant barrage of attacks on his educational upbringing) We move quickly thru a wide range of relevant topics such as: Rat Tails, Mullets, Beryl Belts, Shetland Ponies, and the ilk (little word meaning like but with fewer letters).

Hershall, as you know, because we talked to you on this episode, our fearless, Songleader is back! (👏) We are so glad that the myth was debunked (big work meaning un-bunked) that Bro. Brad had to be rehabilitated (big word meaning restored to a former state) because of his song choices... it was just a vacation that caused his absence. We had a great visit with you, Hersh. It had been a while since we had heard from you. Also, our Songleader came in strong at the end of one of my most requested segments and added on some very good humor. We closed the virtual service by putting to rest some of the personifications (the figure intended to represent an abstract quality) of ourselves on this podcast... Alter-egos, if you will. (and I think you will) we moved from there and had some serious conversation about Altar-egos.

Brad, our fearless song leader deserves a metal for what happened on Pod'N Me today. While reading feedback he, was tasked with reading the longest joke ever broadcasted here on Pod'N Me. We even felt like Pink Burbank had written. We had the normal well respected and well expected portions of the program including: Dink's News Desk, Basement Bargains, and I even got a fairly solid joke in about a portion of our title today. Something happened in the bargain segment that caused another call at the end so stay tuned.

Hershall, for the second week running we had a guest in the studio. As I said last week, we have my second son, Brooks S. Birdsong on Pod'N Me. We settled some HUGE (big word) topics: Extra Cri-Crisp-Christy Fries, Hamburgers, hip mounted sunglass cases, cellphone cases & Bluetooth devices... It was a roller coaster of emotions as I experienced several times where I had to grapple (big word meaning struggle without weapons) with the idea of ending this trash heap of a podcast. In the end, I think my two eldest son came the closest to ending it for me... We did survive and plan to continue. Hershall, today we had two very special guests on Pod'N Me. It's always an honor to hear the perspective of the ministry from a preacher's kid. This time one of those was your very own daughter Bryanna and her close friend Alivya Isaacs. Alivya's father was a guest on this podcast back in January on episode 86. Both ladies offers their idea of what the perfect evangelist would be and all along the way they gave some harrowing tales of their many experiences as PK's. We also found out that Alivya has some close friends that are fans of Pod'N Me. To sum (little word meaning give a brief summary) it all up, Bryanna made a statement that became a favorite quote... "Your arm is not an involuntary muscle!"

Hershall, We did it again... we had a repeat guest and he did great.... Great Britton is whom I type of! I talked my two eldest offspring (big word meaning children) into being guests on Pod'N Me. The first one is my first born, Britton D. Birdsong. He is a fine young man of who I am very proud. We had all of the regular segments of the podcast today such as Dink Burbank's News, feedback, and some jokes. We did a segment where Britton & Songleader Brad shared some of their favorite songs.
