WTMJ host Steve Scaffidi was joined in-studio by former U.S. Attorney James Santelle and they began by discussing presidential pardons. This included the history of the pardon, if they were absolute, what they mean and former U.S. President Joe Biden’s pre-emptive pardons (as well as their history).
Steve next asks James about the U.S. legislature’s role in Biden’s pardons as well as current U.S. President Donald Trump’s pardons towards the rioters that stormed the U.S. capitol building on January 6th, 2021, and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Next, Steve and James discussed President Trump’s executive order attacking birthright citizenship, the wording, gun rights and more.
They moved on to discussing immigration and border policy under the second Trump administration.
