Affirmations are positive statements that people use to change their thinking and beliefs. While it is true that our thoughts and beliefs can influence our reality, affirmations alone are not enough to create lasting change. There are a few reasons why affirmations may not work as intended.
First, many people who use affirmations do not believe them. If you do not believe the affirmation, it is not likely to be effective. Second, affirmations are often too general. They may be something like “I am healthy” or “I am wealthy.” These statements are not specific enough to create change. Third, our minds are very good at filtering out information that does not fit with our existing beliefs. So, even if you do believe the affirmation and it is specific, your mind may still not accept it as true.
