It was a rough day at the office for the New York Mets offense, especially their table-setters at the top. Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto and Pete Alonso went a combined 0-for-9 but did draw three walks. The team left 8 men on base and went 0-5 with RISP, as they fell to the A's by a final of 3-1. 

David Peterson did give the Mets a decent amount of length, throw 6 innings and only allowing two runs, but that was enough to push the A's ahead. The Mets will turn to Kodai Senga to try and with their 4th straight series.
