The New York Mets kept the good vibes rolling and their bats had a nice day at the office, as they defeated the Colorado Rockies, 8-1. 

It was the bottom part of the lineup that struck early, with Ronny Mauricio and Jared Young slugging solo home runs. Then the Mets turned things on late, scoring in the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th innings to blow the game open. 

Holmes allowed nine hits and needed to work out of regular trouble, but he limited the damage to just one run and the bullpen got the final nine outs to snag the Mets 41st victory of the season.
