The New York Mets big four put together an 8th inning rally, and the Mets were able to win the opener against the Baltimore Orioles in extras by a final of 7-6. 

Entering the 8th, it was a 6-2 deficit that the Mets faced after a HUGE 6th inning from the Orioles. And that is where the stars for the Mets showed out. Brandon Nimmo lead off the inning with a single, then Francisco Lindor crushed a two-run homer to cut the lead to 6-4. After a Juan Soto single, Pete Alonso wanted to join the party. His two-run homer tied the game at 6.

In extras, it was Soto swinging at the first pitch and driving an RBI single back up the middle, for the Mets biggest comeback win of the season.
