For the third straight day, the New York Mets hit three home runs. For the third straight day, the Mets defeated the Colorado Rockies. The home runs plus a solid outing from Clay Holmes added up for a a 5-3 win and a series sweep. 

Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto all went yard to score the 5 runs for New York, just as the team was designed to do in the offseason.

Clay Holmes, for the first time in his career, pitching 7 innings and was solid throughout.

The Mets finish off a 7-2 home stand and now will head out west to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
