The New York Mets have scored just eight runs in their last five games, including just the 1-run tonight in a 3-1 loss to the Boston Red Sox. 

It was another night of not getting the big hit, as the Mets let chances in the 5th, 6th and 7th innings go by the wayside. They finished the game 1-for-8 with RISP and left 6 men on base.

 For Kodai Senga, it was a battle. He had some issues early, but settled down and was able to finish six innings and give the Mets a quality start. 

The Mets also continue to lack sharpness in their play, with a couple of defensive issues and base running blunders contributing to a rough night across the board. 

Clay Holmes will take the bump tomorrow, in the hopes of getting things back on track for New York.
