Juan Soto broke out in a big way with a MASSIVE two-run HR to help fuel the New York Mets 5-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins in the series opener.

Guess who? It was none other than Pete Alonso getting things started for the Mets with an RBI double to give Clay Holmes a lead early. Holmes was excellent over his first four innings before hitting some trouble in the 5th, but he was able to limit the damage at one run. 

With the win, the Mets will try to make three straight and go for their 5th straight series victory tomorrow.
