Gary shares how a dream and a few cocktails turned into the opening of a brewery and a distillery. Don't worry all you wannabe legal experts, the brewing and distilling are not in the same exact location, so this is a fully legal endeavor!
This craft distillery makes over 30 different spirits, which is impressive. But what's even more impressive is their cocktail menu using each of their own spirits features hundreds of different drinks.

Some homebrewers get their start in a basement or garage, but David got his start in his Army Barracks. Some beer fans find their love of beer from the keg at a college frat part, but Abbey was drawn to it during a European backpacking trip.
Zambaldi: a combination of founders' last names and the fact that David doesn't have any hair. There are also apparently many people named Zambaldi in Italy. Who knew?!

Jonathan continues his beer trip through Charlotte with a stop at Wooden Robot Brewery. Cameron bailed on the call to record, so Jonathan's friend Erik steps in as co-drinker & co-host.
Dubbed an urban farmhouse brewery, this east coast establishment has pumped out over 400 different beers since 2015. They have a passion for sour beers, but their entire approach to everything they make is drinkability.
Their name is a nod to the blending of artisanship and science to make great beer!

Arr, mateys! Todd from Skeleton Crew Brew talks with us about beer, pirates, and music. When you think about it, all three of those go so well together. They all go rogue by not following normal rules and creating their own path.
What started out as a homebrew store and Lost Island Winery, quickly turned this IT Professional into a full time brewer. We discuss what everyone's own 'lost island', or little sanctuary, is.
We drank some great pirate-themed beers, including their famous Chasin' the Booty NEDIPA.
Yo ho, me hearties!

What happens when the possible name of a brewery is revealed to you in a dream? Well... you absolutely use that as a sign to name your brewery that. This is exactly how Lower Left Brewing Company was named. (It also helps that the brewery is located in the lower left / south west side of Charlotte.)
Two guys met and hit it off so well they were opening a brewery a year later. Since 2019, they've won some North Carolina Brewers Cup awards, built a successful community around the Lower Left Brewing running club, brewed some great beers, got through the brewery's first year while facing a global pandemic, and none of it still feels like 'work' to them.

No, the guys from Petty Thieves Brewing didn't spend any time behind bars for stealing anything. Co-Founder Ted shares some deep thoughts on beer, life, and turning 33.
Head Brewer Ryan admits that at this point in his brewing journey, there are no rules. He walks the line of traditional beers and pushing the creative limits. Hear how he made a Taco Bell Beer!
Petty Thieves Brewing also has a secret room hidden behind a false wall, behind a false bookshelf, or underneath something. You'll have to find it and figure out how to get into it.

Putting a lot of unusually lovely beer in barrels earns the brewery the name Divine Barrel. These guys make well nuanced, quality beers! "To brew is human, to ferment is divine."
We also chat about very serious topics you hear about as children that turned out to not ever be that big a deal - Stop. Drop. Roll. and quicksand. Gavin, however, had an encounter with quicksand, and now has a beer named for the experience.
Cameron vents about his Octoberfest in September pet-peeve.
