Welcome to the somatic primer podcast im your host Bryson Newell. This is a bi-weekly podcast where I invite guests on to discuss embodiment, Somatics, and meditation.
I’d like to invite listeners to our online learning platform at somatic primer on patreon. There you can find weekly taiji and somatic classes as well as articles and extended content.
On today’s episode I had the pleasure to speak with Prajwal Ratna Vajracharya. Prajwal is a teacher of a Vajrayana Buddhist lineage in Nepal and a ritual master both of the Charya Nritya dance tradition. Prajwal began his training in Charya Nritya at eight years old. With the survival of this sacred ritual dance threatened by modernization, Prajwal has dedicated his life to bringing this unique Buddhist heritage from the temples of Nepal to the world. Prajwal has preformed several world tours with beginning and advanced students. He founded Dance Mandal: Foundation for Sacred Buddhist Arts of Nepal to preserve these traditions. Prajwal Vajracharya is now based in Portland, Oregon where he continues to teach and preform.
