Whatever shame or struggle you are facing, Jesus has paid for it and desires to draw you close. Whatever bitterness or hurt still plagues your mind and your interactions, Jesus empowers us to forgive and to find peace and love in our broken relationships here on earth. Bring your burdens, mistakes, and your hurts to Him. Lay them at the foot of cross, where He paid for them, and forgave you, just as He forgave the thief on the cross who recognized the identity and power of our Lord on the cross.

There's a powerful link between knowing the love of Jesus and being filled with God's presence. Paul gives us a clue when he prays that believers would "have power [...] to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge" (see Ephesians 3:17-19).
