The U.S. halts its strikes on Iran, saying its military objectives have been achieved, shortly after President Trump threatened that "a whole civilization will die" if the regime refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Yet the terms of any deal, including on the strait and Iran's nuclear program, so far remain an open question.
