- 1 Peter 1:3-12 / Prosperity preachers say that if you invest in God’s ministry, you’ll be rewarded with good health, wealth and happiness. But that’s not what the Bible teaches. Bad things do come to dedicated Christians. Difficulty comes to those who faithfully read their Bibles and pray.  Could it be that difficulty and suffering in the Christian life are actually gifts to us?
