At approximately 11.50 am AEST, aircraft from the 16th Aviation Brigade will conduct a synchronised flypast in Darwin, Townsville, Oakey and Sydney to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of formation of the Australian Army Aviation Corps. The flypast is being synchronised with a ceremonial parade being conducted at the Army Aviation Training Centre, Swartz Barracks, Oakey. Details of each local flypast are as follows:

Townsville A formation of MRH90 Taipan and CH-47F Chinook aircraft from the 5th Aviation Regiment will fly past The Strand, Townsville at low level at 11.50 am local time.
