Happy T-Day, ya boners! We’re still having some mysterious audio issues. But the good news is that roughly halfway through the episode it suddenly sounds good again! (Spoiler alert.)

This week we go around the table and list things we are thankful for. Some are serious, some are very serious. NONE of them are jokes.

We also discuss Josh’s birthday plans and you’re ALL invited! We’re going to play laser tag! We might* even sneak in a real gun just to raise the stakes!

We also sadly say goodbye to one of our favorite segments: James Corner. Our building manager, Crazy James, has gone from crazy to crazy racist and we simply cannot condone his behavior. RIPolice, James Corner.

This week we finally discuss a controversial topic that’s been on Leo’s mind for weeks: bumper stickers. Why, you ask? Good question, we say. Leo HATES them. Josh and Brian feel less strongly about them. But don’t worry, we still talk about them AT LENGTH.

We also come up with a pretty great way for people with super powers to make money. Since we don’t have super powers, we plan on turning the idea into a sketch or web series. Unless we suddenly get super powers, in which case the video is canceled and it’s time for us to become super rich.

Throughout this episode, we tend to callback a lot of inside jokes. We’re not entirely sure which ones started on the podcast and which ones happened off air, so if we reference something that is strange and confusing, and then we laugh as if everyone else is on the joke, feel free to tweet us @Normally_Norm and ask what the hell we were talking about.

This week we won’t call you BONERS or make a lot of jokes in this post (we will save that for the podcast). This week something happened that not only affects the entire country, but more importantly a large portion of our friends and probably yours. 55 Million people voted for a Man who openly ran on a platform of hate and fear. His win doesn’t mean this is what America is. This win means there is SO MUCH WORK TO DO. No more can the silent majority sit on the sidelines.

We need to be more involved. 46% of the country didn’t turn out to vote. That is unacceptable. Change is needed during these next 4 years. We need to smile when we pass someone on the street. We need to openly have talks that lead to real action. We need LOVE in a country filled with HATE.

In this episode we still make jokes and smile about the Cubs winning the World Series. We teach Josh what R.B.I. stands for. We make jokes about this situation that just unfolded because they can put us down, but NEVER can they take away our FREE SPEECH or our ability to laugh and grow from an awful situation.

That’s right, boners, episode 52 officially marks the year anniversary since we started this dumb ass podcast! Wow! We did it! Thank you to the people who have listened to us this past year. You are our everything. We want to make internet love to you.

This week we talk about Leo’s new nickname, Josh reveals himself to be a dirty cheater, and Brian puts the boys to a test of memory with a quiz about our very first episode! We decide that from now on our episodes will be under two minutes each, we remember purchasing “She-Males in the Army” porno DVDs, and we are very excited about the Chicago Cubs in the playoffs!!

The boys also start a band – The Sandy Boyz – after inspiration from a day at the beach celebrating Brian’s birthday. Which, by the way, was wonderful. Josh even went into the ocean (furthest he’s EVER gone) and that’s a big deal because he’s scared of the ocean like a little b*tch! Hiyooo! Finally, we discuss the brand new PlayStation VR, we make lots of jokes about diarrhea, and we love paying for things with piles of loose change.

Josh hurt his knee somehow and has come to the most natural conclusion possible: he wants to cut off his legs and get badass bionic ones instead. Why both legs when only one knee hurts? Symmetry of course.

Leo then steers the conversation into some controversial territory: cheese. All kinds of cheese. Which cheeses do YOU like? They better be the same as Leo’s or he will definitely murder you.

We’re still saving our deep political discussion for Episode 100, but we decided to weigh in on the first presidential debate. I think we can all agree that Trump should never be president. Well, we SHOULD all agree. Unfortunately, that’s clearly not the case so we’ve got a 50/50 chance of the country going down the crapper. Wheeeeee!

Other topics we touch on: cruises, county fairs, Field Day, Brian’s porn crush and of course some more Crazy James.

Well, it’s another Brian-less episode this week as Brian continues doing god knows what because he won’t tell us. He’s all, “I signed an NDA. I can’t tell you.” And we’re all, “Shut up! Where you at??” But don’t worry, we have a pretty great substitute this week who did such an amazing job that he may actually replace Brian permanently!

This week we discuss a plausible conspiracy theory behind celebrity “news.” What doesn’t our government want us to know? We’re not sure yet, but it seems pretty reasonable that they’re able to distract everyone with “top stories” like #Brangelina so we aren’t paying attention to events that actually matter. Could be a coincidence, or it could be a cover up! What do you think??

We also have a pretty solid Crazy James Corner where we read yet another hilarious, rambling text thread from our one and only landlord, Crazy James. We LOVE that guy.

Then things take a pretty heavy turn as we openly share our thoughts on depression, stress and suicide. It might be the most honest conversation we’ve ever had. Or it could be another way for the government to distract you! CONSPIRACY!!
