Halloween is over which means the holidays are here and everyone is asking, “how to a keep myself accountable and in check during the holidays?!”. It’s all about self-control and being honest with ourselves! I get it, the holidays are full of more food, more beverages, more stress, and less routine can really make falling off the wagon seem like an easy option. I’m not saying you can’t indulge a little but I am saying we need to not look at it as 3 months of indulges and instead 3 days of mindful indulgence, and indulging a little in these three days is not something to be shameful about! In this episode, I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite tips and tricks for keeping yourself in check this holiday season, now let’s work on project you!
In this episode, I'm talking about armchair activism vs. action activism. Armchair activism is someone who professes radical aims without taking any action to realize them, as if pontificating "from the comfort of the armchair", and this type of activism is becoming increasingly more common due to social media. While raising awareness is great, it is crucial that we take action towards the things that we are passionate about to make a real difference. In this episode, I'm sharing how I was raised to be an action activist, what I'm working on now and how you can go from armchair to action! Now let's work on project you!
In this episode special guest, Hardeep Dhindsa is joining me to speak on the topic of love. Dr. Dhindsa is a retina surgeon, founder of the HD Retina Eye Center as well as a dear friend of mine. In this episode, I'm reflecting on last weekend, when I traveled to Southern California to celebrate my birthday with a group of my closest friends. I made a conscious effort to be present for this time and trust me, that is easier said than done. We operate from the core beliefs that we allow ourselves to have: we’re not good enough, strong enough, attractive enough and these beliefs keep us from being present and where our feet are. In this episode, I'm talking about how I quieted my distracting and negatove self-talk in order to really be present and in the moment and giving tips for how you can to! Now let's work on Project You!
Today's episode is a very special birthday episode! I turned 38 years old last Sunday and this is one of the most uplifting times of my life so it was so important for me to reflect on this last year with you. 6 has always been my favorite number and my birthday falls on October 6th so I wanted to share my 6th major lessons that I've learned this episode and how I use them in my life.
No matter what age you are or where you are in your life you can benefit and will benefit from these lessons, now let's work on project you!
In this episode we’re taking about seasons! Seasons are reflected not just in the weather but in our lives, these are times that call for transition and change. We are always in a season, some good and some challenging but as much as you may want to stay in the comfortable season, it is the most difficult seasons that yield the most growth. In this episode I’m diving into how to deal with seasons and embrace them to ensure that you are getting the most growth, how to deal with difficult seasons and not give up and how to let go and allow seasons to happen while still guarding your heart. Own it, be it, want it, do it- now let’s work on project you!
In this episode i'm talking about living life to the fullest! As we get older we get places in more and more boxes and who we "should be" becomes more defined by others. Whether this be a mother, wife, business owner, etc. I'm sharing my personal story about spending my last weekend in Park City, Utah competing to be on the USA Olympic bobsled team. There were so many reasons why I shouldn't have done this from motherhood to business ventures but I decided to follow my dreams and live my life to the fullest and it felt SO good! I am determined to continue to reject these limitations and live my life to the fullest and if you are ready to do the same this episode is for you!
In today's episode we are talking about chance, choice and change. So many times in life we live in a place I like to call excuseville, this happens when we want change without taking action. In order to create change and be our best self we have to leave excuseville and take chances and make choices. We cannot create change in our lives without intentional action. In this episode I'm talking about how I left excuseville, took the chances, made the choices and created change in my life and how you can too. Take the chance, make the choice, be the change. Now let's work on Project You!
In this episode I'm sharing the four words that I never use and why. I believe that the words that we use hold so much power and it's SO important for us to be intentional about them. Each of these words has a reason behind it I have found that my life has changed since eliminating them from my vocabulary. Own it, be it, want it, do it- now let's work on project you!
