Mohammad Hassan, former Ethiopian diplomat, veteran communist and a friend of Eritrean independence speaks at our Southall Seminar on Sudan. Professor Hassan gives a weekly TV political education class and current affairs program that is broadcast to the entire Horn of Africa, and for Amharic speakers can be enjoyed here: / @zementvzewdushow3
He gives a background to the geopolitics of Sudan, talks about its rich resources and history and notes that it has all the resources to be a prosperous country: land, water, oil, gold, people! It was the biggest country in Africa. The people were prosperous before it was colonised. It could feed the world - Why should they suffer?
Above all, leadership and vision decide everything! The crime of Khruschevite revisionism limited the scope of action and vision of the Sudanese and Middle Eastern communist movement. They lost the will and ability to fight for independence and to take the wealth and organise society for our liberation.
Cde Hassan notes also the role of French imperialism in slaughtering 10,000 Arabic teachers in order to make the “Pygmi” language of French the lingua franca of their African Empire. Which it remains to this day.
The Abraham accords are only signed by Bahrain and the Emirates. Those tiny states are sectarian extensions of imperialism, and along with Israel are designed to police the entire region. To that end they have embarked on a program of “port” imperialism, to control the strategic waterway of the Red Sea and its African and Arabian coastline. In this way they can dominate not only the key trading routes of the world, but the adjoining nations access to those key waterways - it is this that is responsible for the ills of the region.

May 12 May Day London 2026. Victory to the Resistance!
CPGB-ML hold rally at the end of the May Day demonstration in London on 4th May 2026. This was a one year only move to the 4th, so it could be held on the 100th anniversary of the 1926 British general strike.
The real lesson of the strike? That the Labour Party was a tool of the exploiters. They were terrified of working class demonstration of power and did everything they could to help the ruling class to break it.

Moves toward silencing and criminalising effective anti-zionist, antifascist and antiwar voices are advancing in every imperialist and imperialist-aligned country.
Offences listed on the search warrant: promoting, establishing, organising, directing or financing an association that aims to commit acts of violence for the purposes of terrorism and subversion, drawing on the methods of the Red Brigades and the New Red Brigades (with the aggravating circumstance of having induced a minor to commit a crime).

Imperialism's ultimate tactic is 'divide and rule'. The narratives of the imperialist media is to deflect blame off the economic mode towards the victims of imperialism.
If imperialist states bomb a country and plunder their wealth, the people will naturally follow the trail of stolen wealth back to the imperialist cores. To blame migrants who come to these countries for the problems created by imperialism is blaming the symptoms and not the actual causes.

The CPGB-ML has taken the stance that the war against Iran is a predatory war of imperialism and a extension of the genocide of the Palestinian people onto the Iranian people for the purposes of expanding American-Israel influence in the Middle-East through destabilisation. Iran is the pillar of resistance against this ambition and has been victim of sanctions for their resistance since 1979.
Since the beginning of the war, it has become evidently clear that the US and Israel have greatly underestimated the capabilities of Iran to withstand attacks. Their rush to assassinate the head of Iran, the Ayatollah, led them to believe that they could have a quick and easy war, but reality has become a nightmare. The American Empire is crumbling and with it will their global terror.
As Ranjeet Brar says in this interview: "No cooperation with the war machine and victory to Iran!"

British workers are duty-bound to stand with the Iranian people, who are under attack from the same imperialist class that subjects, exploits and impoverishes us.
The escalation to a region-wide war was guaranteed from the moment the imperialists began their assault, since the USA has constructed a massive network of bases and ports across the Gulf from which it wages its wars and dominates the region, and all of which are ultimately aimed at any country or people who strive for sovereignty. Iran and every thinking person in west Asia knows full well and from bitter experience that they will never be able to achieve peace, security or sovereign development while this Sword of Damocles is suspended over their heads.

All peace-loving people must expose imperialist lies, resist the push towards global war and work towards a future free from imperialist domination and conflict.
Turning Taiwan into a new Ukraine is a key part of US imperialism’s war strategy against China, which is seeing increased activity across military, economic and informational fronts. Any real antiwar movement would be working to rebut the sinophobic propaganda that deluges western media and making it clear that China poses no threat whatsoever to the British working class.
