This week I spoke with Garland Nixon about ‘democracy’ in western imperialist nations. What is its true content and who does it serve? Can working people really influence the structures of power and governmental decision-making? And if not, why not?
We talked about the class nature of the state and democracy, and highlighted the prejudices which are instilled so deeply in workers’ heads from such a young age that we find it hard to see past the shibboleths of ‘everybody knows ...' and recognise the extent to which we have been lied.
We also discussed the steady shift away from ruling by consent to ruling by force, and the role that political policing is now playing in western societies.
True to form, the British ruling class has introduced political policing in a roundabout, arms-length way, by creating and funding allegedly ‘independent’ (zionist) organisations which are turning out to be thoroughly embedded into the state machinery, but which allow the government to retain plausible deniability.
In fact, Britain’s zionist political police function in much the same way as Anglo-American imperialism’s zionist settler colony, which polices the middle east/west Asian region and practices all kinds of repressive techniques that are then brought back to be used on the home population. All while allowing the imperialists to pretend that the crimes being committed there are nothing to do with them.

May 02 Neo-nazi Nato’s Proxy War Against Russia by Giles Shorter
The conflict in Ukraine did not start in February 2022; it had started a long while before. The 2014 Maidan coup installed a fascist government led by the followers of WW2 Nazi collaborator Stepan Bandera. This coup was actually the first blow in the yet-to-be-declared war against Russia.
The coup enraged the people of Crimea and the Donbass, who refused to live in a state ruled by fascists. Crimea held a referendum in which the population overwhelmingly decided to rejoin Russia. Ever since 2014, the Ukrainian military, backed by the fascist Azov battalions, have been bombarding the Donbass republics, killing 14,000 people and terrorising the resistant population all over Ukraine on a daily basis.
The conflict in Ukraine is not between Ukraine and Russia. It is a proxy war waged by the neo-nazi Nato alliance, which wants regime change in Russia in order to loot that country’s vast resources. Faced with this threat to its very existence, Russia has had little choice but to resort to force, with the twin purposes of denazifying and demilitarising Ukraine. In this war, workers and all of progressive humanity must support Russia, which is waging a heroic fight against the combined forces of imperialism.

The US wants to dictate to the world what is the correct and incorrect way of living and governing a country from the perspective which serves their imperialist interests. When a country seeks to be independent, free of plunder, and to develop without interference, the U.S. is trigger-happy to label these countries undemocratic and dictatorships.
The U.S. and their proxy state of Israel are doing that today with Iran under the guise of peace and prosperity for the world, while actively pursuing the war and destruction of the world for the enrichment of a parasitic minority who sit in the offices of Wall Street, the City of London et cetera.
The Westerners who argue the pacifist line of 'anti-war' are merely taking the side of the U.S. and Israel by pushing forward a line of inactivity from the current conflict. It is akin to being 'anti-slavery' by refusing to challenge slavery as a system. The anti-imperialist line is to support Iran and the Iranian people in their defence and justified retaliation against the true 'pro-war' forces of the world: the U.S., Israel and the other imperialist powers of the world.

The CPGB-ML has taken the stance that the war against Iran is a predatory war of imperialism and a extension of the genocide of the Palestinian people onto the Iranian people for the purposes of expanding American-Israel influence in the Middle-East through destabilisation. Iran is the pillar of resistance against this ambition and has been victim of sanctions for their resistance since 1979.
Since the beginning of the war, it has become evidently clear that the US and Israel have greatly underestimated the capabilities of Iran to withstand attacks. Their rush to assassinate the head of Iran, the Ayatollah, led them to believe that they could have a quick and easy war, but reality has become a nightmare. The American Empire is crumbling and with it will their global terror.
As Ranjeet Brar says in this interview: "No cooperation with the war machine and victory to Iran!"

This short video gives a snapshot of the horrific destruction inflicted on Lebanon by the Zionist entity.
