For the second annual National Parvo Awareness Day, Dr. Chris George, veterinarian and infectious disease specialist with Elanco Animal Health, is helping spread awareness in support of the goal to defend puppyhood.

Canine parvovirus has the highest reported outbreak rates in seven states, according to new data from Elanco Animal Health. Some of the states with highest reported cases of canine parvovirus outbreaks include: California,Texas, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Illinois and New York. But just because your state isn’t on the list doesn’t mean your puppy is not at risk.
