  • 122. Pray With Me...Visitation Declutter Rosary

Today's episode is a little different.  This is the rosary we prayed during the Visitation Declutter Retreat I hosted on Mother's Day.  The women who were there seemed to really like it so I thought I'd share it with all of you.  It focuses on The Visitation.  When the Blessed Mother goes to visit her cousin, Elizabeth.  Imagine how different the story would be if Elizabeth wouldn't let Mary inside because her home was cluttered!  Imagine missing out on the joy of the Christ child visiting your home because you were too embarrassed to let Him in.  Yet, how many missed opportunities for friendship do we miss out on when we don't invite others into our homes?

If you struggle with clutter, please reach out to me.  We can zoom for a half hour discovery call and see if you'd like to work with me.  I can talk you through decluttering your home via zoom one hour at a time.  If you are local to me, the Lehigh Valley in PA, I can visit your home to declutter.  This is a 5 hour commitment where we work together, at a comfortable pace to clear the clutter and make way for God.  Please email me at: [email protected] to get started.

Is the clutter in your home so overwhelming you don't know where to begin? Or you do begin and quickly make a bigger mess, get frustrated and give up? Are you waiting for motivation to strike and THEN you'll get it together?

Motivation is not going to strike, so STOP waiting for it!  Just get started and guess, what? Momentum will kick in and help you finish the job.  When we look at the big picture, it's easy to get overwhelmed and stay stuck.  In these Saturday morning episodes, I lead you through one very small area of your home to declutter for just 5 minutes.  You won't pull everything out and make a bigger mess, you'll just handle a very small section at a time.  Week after week and little by little, your home will begin to feel lighter. You'll be able to freely open kitchen drawers and quickly find items.  Cleaning will become easier too because you won't be cleaning before you can actually clean.  5 minutes will make a difference! Set your prayer intention to unite your work with Him, pop in this podcast, and set your reward.  Let's get started

****What’s your first thought when the doorbell rings?  Do you excitedly swing open the door to greet the person on the other side or do you turn off the lights, remain silent and pray they just go away? Is clutter stopping you from opening the door? Even more, is clutter and the fear of having anyone visit, making you feel lonely and isolated?

On May 14th from 7-9pm EST, I’ll be hosting a 2 hour retreat called, “The Visitation Declutter Retreat”.  We’ll begin our time together in prayer as we meditate on the visitation of our Blessed Mother when she visits her cousin, Elizabeth.  We’ll get to know one another, discuss how this Bible passage resonates with us in regard to our clutter.  We’ll join together as like-minded women to break through the challenges of clutter in our lives.  Finally, we’ll get to work on decluttering the area of our home that a guest would see immediately.  You’ll be able to ask me questions and get encouragement from me and the group as we all work to clear space to make room for welcoming guests as Elizabeth did.  The knowledge you’ll gain in this 2 hour retreat will give you the tools to tackle every other area of your home.

The cost is $40 and you can use the link below to sign up.  An email with the zoom link will be sent prior to the retreat.  Please be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see an email from me by the 13th.  Hope to see you there!

  • 116. How To Begin When You Have A Clutter Problem

    Opening Bible verse: Nehemiah 1:9

This episode is part 2 of 3.  Please listen to episode 114 if you missed the topic of how to determine if you have a clutter problem or a routine problem.  You can listen to that episode here: Episode 114

So you've determined that you have a clutter problem.  Now what?  When I work with a homeowner that is completely overwhelmed by every room of her house, I always recommend that we begin in her wardrobe, then move onto her bedroom and her bathroom.  I do this because I want her to have an oasis in her home.  A place to retreat and recharge.  A place where she wakes up to calm and easily makes a decision about what to wear because everything in her wardrobe fits her, flatters her and makes her feel fabulous. That's in an ideal world where I will be working with a client long term.

In today's episode, I let you begin where you like.  Let's say you only have one weekend to declutter and you want to focus on one area of your home.  This episode will walk you through how to get that area decluttered and organized!  Yes, I'm finally giving you the green light to use or purchase the bins, baskets and label maker!  Once one room or area of your home is completely free of clutter and you've organized the remaining items that will stay, you can move onto the next area or room of your home.

    Happy decluttering! XOXO, Gina
